I grew up in Houston With the Underground Kingz, ESG and Geto Boyz plus the beginning of the screwed and chopped era, Mike Jones and Paul Wall are rehashing stuff done by those guys and taking it to a repetitive level so it becomes ultra-trendy and they can market it and sell more records. Cause the more it's repeated on MTV the more brainwashed the listeners will become. I posted what I did as a joke because I live in Honolulu now where crime is low and violence is very little and most live through it. Understood that this is the US and we can express ourselves freely. All's I'm sayin is that in my opinion, it's a profane thing to do when you laugh at anybody who died to the person expressing some sort of regret. What would you say if your brother or friend was a heavy metal artist and his music contained some violent, drug-related natured lyrics and he was shot in the head and killed and you didn't really know the circumstances 100%, would you mourn? Would you take offense to someone who laughed and said they hope more alike die? Answer that. This dude, died he had some violent content in his work (as do almost all in the entertainment industry), but he didn't have a serious criminal past to my knowledge, unless it's true of him firing the first shots, so he deserves the right to be put to rest peacefully like everyone else. Hopefully the other guy who was wounded will recover and seek some sort of compensation.

If a rapper that never rapped about shooting another human being, then I wouldn't think it was funny, now would I shit on that rappers online memorial? Just because you like someone, doesn???t mean he automatically gets respect from other people.

Who cares what he rapped about? What if his lyrics are just story telling and he's just plain painting a picture of his life that other people can relate to, what they are accustomed to and know no other? It's just like when Spielberg, Scorsese or Cameron put it on screen. It takes a lot more to descipher someone's artwork than just listening to it or seeing it.

And you still didn't answer my question: Unless it is yes, you would laugh at your brother or friend if they were murdered, even if their music was sometimes violent by nature.

Not everyone can be perfect like you and never have a bad relationship with someone and/or express animosity. Find me lyrics where Proof brags about murdering someone specific and then find me evidence of him actually murdering that same person and then I will agree with you, since you seem to know that because he said something, it happened. Do you believe in Santa Clause too? Just because a rapper claims something in their rhymes doesn't mean it's the truth. It's textbook hip hop these days. There's more aspects of music than only lyrics as well, and lyrics are easy to overlook and not get all worked up over.
