He's at 56 with 17 games remaining.

It'd be nice to see him do it, but it'll be tough. His current pace is 63. I want to see the 61 number fall "legitimately."

Being a huge Phillies fan I'd love to see him do it. If he doesn't, we probably won't make the playoffs. :(

Don't fret, they probably won't make the playoffs anyway.

Do you honestly believe it is legitimate, this day and age?

I mean about the playoffs.

From 22 to 60+......I wonder how????

His 22 HRs last year came in 312 at bats. This year he'll get close to twice that number of ABs, so a doubling of his HR total is not unreasonable. As for the extra 15 HRs, maybe he's developing as a hitter.

I didn't know that, thanks.

Who is Ryan Howard?

He is without question 100% natural... He's already a terror at the plate, but in 4-5 years he will be a mass murderer! He's more fat than built... Give him time in the gym and time to develope, and God only knows what he'll do. No 62 this year, but very likely to happen down the road.

He may but I don't want him to.
It shall remain legitimately a Yankee record.

Hes got it. At the way hes hitting now I think he will hit about 64.

I think he will, but with our luck we will hit 63 HR and we will miss the wild card....philadelphia is just plain old cursed.....
