there are a lot of options n i am done with the celibacy one soon. hopefully i always gained weight on bc pills, i'm scared of surgery n there's no risk of stds. i'm doing the whole testing for everything thing first.

there's a new procedure called essure where little things inserted into your fallopian tubes cause them to grow scar tissue n become blocked. i'm considering that or maybe an iud...

IUDs, I thought that they did not give them to women unless they have had children, or that is recommended.

I had one once, it was PAINFUL and menstration was SO HEAVY it was frightening. Think of your womb contracting around a wee bit of plastic with copper on the ends.

Scarification-is the process reversible?

Condoms with spermicidal jelly is still one of the best options.

Some birthcontrol pills can be quite anabolic for women, the only problem is if you are taking steroids while on, as they counter act the effect of the pill.

Reading up on essure it looks a hell of a lot better than an IUD or a prescription option. The sides are nil, and the placement issues are in most cases made right the second time around. It would be interesting to see the numbers on the clinical testing for rates of activity during that first three months. Were the women in a mostly non-aerobic lifestyle or did they get out and jog, bike ride, do kick boxing, or work a jack-hammer?

The 99.8% effectiveness rate makes that look like the way to go if it's not an insanely priced procedure.

The ring is by far the absolute worst birth control out there. There are so many problems with it, that they are trying to pull it off the market. Women are dying from blood cots caused from the ring. It provides too much estrogen. Tell your women to get off the ring as fast as they possibly can.

That being said, if you don't want kids, Essure is the way to go for women and vasectomy for men. If you do want kids, wrap it up!

i have 2 kids, a daughter and a son, and am too old for more with many fertile years left. i'm asking my gyno about essure tomorrow. the procedure doesn't involve cutting or being put out but scar tissue sounds scary. i'm wondering exactly what causes the scar tissue to grow n what could go wrong with that process.

i decided to go with the para guard copper iud. it's non hormonal, doesn't require surgery, is more effective than bc pills, works for 10 years and if it causes problems i can have it removed immediately. i have very light periods and almost never have cramps so i'm hopeful it won't cause things to be drastically different. the essure you are stuck with if problems arise unless it is removed surgically which would be a major surgery.
