What type of routine do you guys do? Split body parts? Full bodyworkout? Reasoning?

Personally i've always done split bodyparts because its worked for me and i like to focus on two muscle groups at a time rather than multiple

Split for me also and for same reasons....

Switching things up a lil right now and trying GVT and all I can saw is ouch

Yeah, gvt will put a hurt on you if you're not ready for it.

Wasnt to bad but def something that pushes you harder.

At first I was like how is this gonna work by 8th set the light bulb was on...hahaha

i did gvt this week for legs and wow that ish hurt lol should def be adding an inch to my wheels with it

Switching up helps when you reach a plateau and don't seem to be making any gains....

through 35 years in the gym i have changed my style many times, only time will teach you what suits you better. so my advice variation and experimentation is important each individual responds differently to different methods and some respond to changes rather than one method.
so a good way to go is:
stick with a method for 2 months (like you are doing) then change. You can also change the frequency of your training and the routines used.
for example right now i work out 5 times a week on a split routine 2-3 muscles each time, i vary my movements and my routines. then after a month or two i will go on one muscle per day only , then after a while i will go to 3 times a week 3 muscles per workout and so on

Currently doing upper/lower split every other day. The pros- I get to workout my legs every 3 days. The cons- 3 days sometimes is not enough recovery time to hit legs again. My all time favorite is Push/Pull/Legs. Just enough days in between to recover from the previous workout.

Doing a split routine in my opinion is the best way to go. I do a 4 day a week split routine myself.

Mondays: Back and Abs

Tuesday: Shoulders, Triceps and Abs

Thursday: Full leg routine including calves. No Abs

Friday: Chest, Biceps and Abs.

Only workout each body part 1 time a week except Abs. This will insure enough rest in between for proper muscle healing, repairing and growth while you feed the shit out of them with all the essential Proteins, Carbs and Fats they need.
