I was told by WU that I couldn't use a Question and Answer, even on an order less than $300....that the person had to have a valid ID when picking up any funds. Here's the kicker...I was also told that this is a new policy and another "new policy" is that the funds can't be sent in US dollars, that they HAVE to be picked up in the local currency. Has this happened to anyone else! This is a first for me and now I'm avoiding WU altogether.

I've used the same one for some time now, it's all done over the phone at a pharmacy. He basically lied about a "new policy." I think they are screening for those that send overseas all the time and consistently say that their friend doesn't have his ID. What a bunch a bullshit. Even my bank wants to know why, exactly, I'm wiring money before they can go through with it. I had no idea that this is going on. I wish I just had a domestic

Go to a currency exchange. Or pls loan store or dominics/safeway. Never had a problem there.

Some shit has changed u can't send over 300 with question. If your order was say 450$ total u have to send one 299 dollars and another for 151. This change started in June or July. Read the terms of agreement on wu form.

I can't stand WU or MG for that matter. I've had nothing but problems with the both of them.

WU in my neck of the woods no longer allows sending any amount of cash without your ID and they ask you for your SS# fuck them!

Hey bro, just go to cvs and use the moneygram there. I'ts done over the phone and all you have to do when you are done is hand the $$ to the clerk and sign for it. You can waive the id and send up to $900 to the receiver with the ID waived and the test question and answer applied. In fact as oppose to wu, once you add the test question and answer for MG, the ID is automaticly waived. With wu, you have to be sure that they click the box " waive id " and also add the test question and answer. Alot of times the clerk add the T&A but fails to click the waive id option, wu angers me to no end. With MG, all you have to do is be sure the Q&A is added,then you know for sure ID has been waived also.

My understanding is that with wu, id can still be waived, but not over $299. I never use them anymore, stick with MG,GD,Vanilla, etc.

WU out here is really bad. They won't allow you to ship to someone unless they have ID.. and those fees are a fucking joke.

yea having to use wu or mg is the biggest problem there is I think we the one buying should only buy from company that take green dot .wu charges like 60 bucks or more to send money and they have to know every thing about you and the person getting money. green dot nobody knows nothing about nobody and it cost 5 bucks. saver ,faster and cheaper.

Green dot is great for buyer but extremely risky for reciever- thats why most use wu or mg

Some places u can do mg over the phone and is really easy- fee is less than wu too
