Me too... I'm a little worried about doing any soldering.. anyone have the solderless mod chip?

There is some info on the a solderless mod chip. Unfortunately I have a soldered chip I got it done 2-3 years ago. It will come with an operating system. I also upgrade the HD to 80 GB at the time. This speeds up load times, and some game play when games are copied right to the HD

I didn't do the soldering, again I was a little nervous about it as well, had a buddy do it. There is some pretty good instructions on the net on how to install a soldered chip.

I wonder what will happen with the mods in the new 360. Has Microsoft done anything to try and fight this?

Sorry guys, but xbox took over and sony will never catch up. Xbox is faster then ps2 and it has better graphics and gameplay. The only thing that sucks about the video game world is they come out with systems to fast and I can't keep up getting money and buying them all. I just got a PSP

The dreamcast was superior hardware and it got crushed based on fewer titles to purchase.

Flex... the newer 'Controller S' for XBOX are a lot better than the original ones. Also, all the games now are pretty much on all systems. During the launch, XBOX was way behind. It still sold 30 million, but PS sold 84 mil. Dale's right.. comes down to the games, but I'd say features are #1.

XBOX is 360 rumored to be released in November for ~360.00. PS3 isn't coming out until Spring 2006... maybe enough time to attract the drooling PS loyalists!

These "preview images" are ALWAYS better than they actually are. PS will be hard-pressed to top the new XBOX's power.. They will most likely end up on the level...it will come down to features, which I without a doubt give the edge to MS.

..think about it.. "Mommy, get me PS3.. it has more polygons". ... or "get me the XBOX.. I can plug in my iPod & play all my music during my games"

Features is where its at.

The only hump MS has to get over is people's engrained Playstation fixation.

I totally agree with this statement. Don't have a PSP yet, but that's just cuz i'm broke

I still have a place in my heart for the Dreamcast though. It was a sad day when it was declared dead

I wonder the real potential of the awesome hardware we have today. Something like with deep blue power. We all know those video games are fast but they are still made for the public and commercial usage.
I think people from IBM could do some good stuf with a lot of money.
Like one really big computer in the center of the earth and it would be connected to the sky. So everybody would play. Sweet.
