what do u guys eat for snacks in between meals. ive struggled with this all my life. This is to a key to a diet well mines anyway because i do good the whole day but when i have that craving for something sweat or that taste different then meat/veggies what do yall eat? i just cheated and ate a 300 calorie debbie cake and feel horrible :/

Sugar free jello and coolwhip light would be a MUCH better option than a Debbie Cake. Also give Natural Peanut Butter and Coolwip a go. It is firgg'n awesome when you are in that sweet mood.

Personally I have always needed something sweet after dinner (chocolate has always been my Dark Lord  ). Finally though after reading the suggestions of many bright people here over the years on this board I took the hint and gave up sugar all-together...been a while now since my last nibble and I honestly can't remember the last time I've had a craving for sugar or something sweet.

I may give in at some time in the future for a small cheat (or a large one on vacation :) ), but I honestly don't miss it one bit right now.

The closest I get is usually diet soda, or perhaps Honey Dijon mustard 1x per week.

I understand this isn't much of a solution for some people, but it helped me to just not have any and after a while I kicked the habit :)

If you are eating properly every 2.5 to 3 hours there should be no reason for snacks.

Healthy snacks can help if your bulking, especially if your having a hard time putting on weight, i think they can be the key to adding those extra calories that will make the difference to your calorie surplus. I find snacking on things like almonds/other nuts and dried fruit is good, there easy to eat and carry around with you.

I like to put peanut butter on apple or banana slices as a dessert or snack

I have something to eat about every 3 hours. Those meals tend to be tuna and a piece of fruit. Maybe a teaspoon of light mayo for fat.

I agree with Jodi. I eat every 2-3 hours and I never think of eating between meals. Hell, sometimes I'm not hungry in the slightest and it's already time to eat another meal!

"Eat better meals" would be my advice. A tuna salad with a glass of milk might only last a couple of hours but, with the same number of calories, you could have steak, brown rice, rudebager, onions, brocolli and a tomato sauce! If you're hungry within 2-3 hours of eating that lot you should probably see a doctor!

Stan UK - THANK GOD!!! I'm so happy to hear you say that. I love nuts and dried fruit. I used to eat a big bowl of homemade muesli every day (rolled oats, almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts, pecans, apricots, cranberries, banana chips... dot dot dot!).

Since I've been cutting it's been too many calories. I've missed it. I'm so looking forward to eating more again. Roll on 10% body fat. After that I'm bulking/eating again. Woohoo!

Hehe same, its very convenient, helps me get in extra calories, its tasty and good for me, cant really loose :) I suppose on a cut its probably not the best thing to be constantly snacking on. But at least you've got it to look forward to when you start your bulk again :-)

Peanut butter on celery serves as one of my smaller meals here and there. Good fats and taste great.

I don't snack, i either eat my meal or i go apeshit and pack away 2k kcal in an hour.

Kilocalorie, its what is actually meant by calorie when you read food labels and what not.

Yea me too. If I am at the house I start picking and the next thing you know I have made some nachoes and ate a few cookies for desert followed by a bowl of ice cream. Then feel like shit for a few hours.

Which is why i stay strict when i need to and save my 'snacks' or whatever for cheat days, which i give myself every sunday as that is the weekly dinner with my friends. I should note though that i am not very strict with my diet as Jodi and everyone else on here are. I have come to terms with my genetics and have accepted that i'm not a person who will be able to maintain a six pack type figure year round, nor do i want to bust my ass that much, which is why i don't really give too much advice on this forum as i have a very different perception to diet than the mods/members on here do.

ty for the info man ill try that.

I Also have another question for yall.

So your suppose to eat 6 meals a day u eat 300 calorie for breakfast, lunch, dinner and ur 3 snacks u eat 150 calories each?

Your kcal intake will depend on you individual metabolism and what you are trying to achieve with your diet. Read the stickies at the top of the page, there are general guidelines to get you started in the right direction to determine kcalorie needs. I believe the numbers are, for weight loss you need 12-13kcal per lb of bw, maintenance 15kcal per lb of bw and weight gain is 17-18kcal per lb of bw. Again, these are not going to be 100% correct but they will give you a rough idea of where to start so you can figure out your individual needs.

Wadya mean "Uhhh"???

A guy confesses, in a bodybulding forum (of all places), that he'll periodically binge on 2000cal in an hour! And you didn't think that was funny!?

Man, I did!

Don't mind BigDyl, i find that if you ignore him he'll eventually get bored and go away.

As well i'm not really a bodybuilder anymore.
