It be! I could hold barbell for 500+. Not but for too long though?
 
I'm fairly certain my hands are strong enough to hold onto a billion pounds. My shoulder would probably explode, however.
 
I do shallow rack deads at around 540 with an alternating grip.
 
For how long? I haven't tried anything above SLDL'ing 225 with double overhand for 8 reps.
 
It kills the forearms. I can only do it for one set, and half the next set. Then it's to alternate gripping.
 
another good one to test your grip strength is holdling onto a pull up bar for more then 2 minutes. alot harder then it sounds.

snoogans have you ever heard of captains of crush grippers? might be something you would be interested in.
 
Never really tiried but I can SLDL 275 for 6-8 reps double overhand. :shrug:

In my deads I haven't gone past 275lb (been doing them for three weeks), but I can say at 275lb it wasn't stessing my grip out one bit.

Put that soft bar pad on the pull up bar.... grip that and do chin ups :p
 
not sure what that will do, but i'll try it next back workout!
