Rice Cookers - 1st time buyer

I want to buy a rice cooker but none of them seem to come with a timer. Is a timer necessary or does it cook it automatically for a certain amount of time?

Also, are they easy enough to clean?

Mine cooks automatically. It ha ssettings on it for amount of rice needed to cook or w.e

You dont need a timer. Good cooked rice is usually cooked in around 40 minutes...depending on the rice

You don't need a timer. The rice will cook and when it's done it will automaticlly shut itself off. Rice cookers rule!

i just put mine in a pan or w/e and pour water and grren tea in with it and let it cook till i either think its done or i smell something burning

I've tried it before. It's good. That and jasmine, green onion, and all that other fun stuff.

yeah. its Diet green tea w/citrus. i pour it on my oats too.
