Does anybody work midnights and still find motivation to workout in the morning after the shift. If you do can you please give me some advice on what your training patterns are as for resting, training, supps, and dieting whether for cutting or bulking. I can use all the help i can get

:stuck: .

Thanks

Are you working a straight graveyard shift or will you be rotating? if rotating as I do you can always make you week of midnights an easy workout week and giv'er shit when your not on graveyard. Also are you planning to get off work, go to the gym then sleep or stay up and sleep later in the day. I've tried working out after work on graveyards and they're not bad workouts but i never get a good sleep if i try to go to bed right after. I always find it better to go home sleep then hit it when I get up. But that might not be possible for you but you do what you gotta do right?
Bottom line is somedays are going to be better than others but don't give up it will get easier as you adapt and it will take some time

I work mids and dont rotate shifts. as for working out I workout right after work which sometimes is a killer. but i do it anyway.

I always lift before work. So maybe hit the gym at 9 or 10(assuming you work 12-8?) and then go to work.. come home hit the sack, repeat

Midnight

Burning the midnight hour. Bet you look as good as always. :offtopic:

Ignore the doubts that hit your mind and do what you know you need to do. I have a totally unpredictable work schedule so I just ignore the position of the sun and lift according to where I am in my day. Running or biking at night ... like 3am is killer. No cars and none of the head level pollution they emit, no solar heat beating down on me, and no people to deal with ... just me and the road.

If I get in there early in the am I own the gym. Less people around and those that are there are serious. They know the way things get done. No yakityak by a dork in spandex with a cell-phone sitting on the bench and no clown jumping in front of me during RI's.

Once you eliminate everyone else from your field of vision and focus on your self the beni's of your schedule become a God send. Just force your self to rest a full 8 and keep up with your dietary plans. This is a good thing for you ... :thumb:

That's what I would do.

I've worked thrids for years, the only thing I can suggest is to find a rhythm that works for you. I used to go to college, work full time nights, and work out consistently. What worked for me was to get a good home gym with free weights, good bench and squat rack. The thing was that on my days off I was motivated to work out at 3am usually ( when the gyms are closed) Its hard to work out during the evenings on your days off when you would normally be sleeping.
