Sorry guys I know I ask alot of Navy questions, I have done research but still dotnhave a clear choice, I'm leanin towards staying in Ac.

All three of these jobs are availiable, My recruiter and best friend who's on the boat think I could do special forces. I dont know, So I'm bouncing these ideas off you guys. Right now I'm signed into the rate of Ac (air traffic control). While its very high paying in the real world, it has the #1 suicide rate due to high stress. Anything aviation related also has a higher chance of going to Iraq.

Seal would just be a challenge and be bad as hell, but the downside is that ppl would try to kill me on a daily basis and I'd have to go behind enemy lines.

Diver would be pretty cool.

So.....what job sounds best, and which is gona get me laid mo often? :)

Sorry, I know yaw prlly hate all these ?s. This is just a good place to get lots of good opinions.

why do each appeal to you? one is high paying, one is bad as hell. which is more important to you? when your looking for a job what is it that makes you think i could do this for a career? truthfully, money and bad as hell dont seem like deciding factors when it comes to a career choice

The seal appeals to me because of the challenge, and when ya wear that trident on the boat you get alot of respect. Plus I'd enjoy the rush of pretty much everything except being in someones crosshairs.

The Ac because It'd be a really great career after I got out,and I could wear a suite and tie to work everyday. Plus If I was rollin in cash I could sling my meat like sam the butcher. Dave chappel said it best "if men could fuck women in cardboard boxes, they wouldnt buy houses" lol.

The Diver because It'd be somthing different, I'm starting to regret that chance to be on a submarine that the guy offered me, Aparrently I'm a good candidate for a sub crewman... go figure. I wouldnt wana be underwater that deep for that long tho. with a bunch of guys.

I'm basing my decision purely off of movies, but Navy SEAL is always more badass than divers in the movies. Unless the diver is Cuba Gooding Jr.

Cuba gooding Jr makes everything bad ass, the guy had a team of talking sled huskies fo heavens sake. lol.
Is diver still considered a bad ass job though? I meen I know the seals would be way more hardcore, But I'd still get a harpoon gun fo meen fish yo.

Thatd probably be seal, but its easier to have balls about somthing that happened in the past. Plus when I'm still alive in 20 yrs I'll be wonderin if I'da lived with a more dangerous career. Say i join seal, and make the cut, go on my 1st mission and get shot in the face. probably wont get shot in the face diving or directing planes.

You can always try for SEALS but then you'll have to pick a different rate because they don't have any use for Air Traffic Control...but if you don't make it, and there is a very high percentage that you won't then you'll be in the rate you chose. When I went I was wavering between being a SEAL or not, but I also wanted something that gave me some of the most valuable skills so I chose Radioman since it dealt with a lot of computer tech stuff... During Pre-BUDS training during A-School I got really sick running and swimming so much in the freezing temps of a Chicago winter so I dropped my hopes for Seals hoping I could go back and try later. Of course after a while in the fleet I realized how much I hated the military life so I just said fuck it and did my time. But at least I got good skills and still got to do dangerous stuff like being on the boarding team while on 6mo deployment to the Persian Gulf, got to board run down vessels with a gun and search them it was always a very intense situation plus my last 3 months I was on Ford Island and got to train with the Seal Team and hung out with them which was a lot of fun and a good end to my 4 yrs...let me just say excel in everything you do there and you will get to do almost whatever you want. Not only did I score highest on everything in boot, but in A school I graduated top of my class and got Accelerated advancement to Petty Officer 3rd Class and to choose my
first duty Station in Hawaii. Plus they still wanted me to go to BUD/S and when I refused that they begged me to go to Nuke School for Subs. I kind of wish I had taken the sub route, those guys get to stay in barracks when in port where as guys on ship have to live on board up to e5 unless you're married or pay your own rent which measly enlisted pay would be a closet in someones basemnet....

You can not enlist directly into the Seals. You'll have to prove yourself first but if you're able, you'll also go through advanced dive training. That covers two of your interests. :thumb:

If you want to get laid, dont go special ops!!!

You will spend a whole lot of timein the belly of a ship or sub staring at a bunch of dudes, or a whole lot of time just working out and training...

You wont see a women.

If you really want to get laid...

Get into a pilot program.

The guys that I saw get the most trim EVER,
were medevac chopper pilots.

I have a friend who is an E8 Navy Seal, since 9/11 he has only been 14 months. So keep that in mind.
