How do you get a mini-forum-blog?

I know you can use myspace, or yahoo...

I just want to post and have people comment...
and maybe have sort of an intro "myspace"-like page with photos and such???

Whats the best web-tool for all this...

I know you geeks know a lot more than I do.

I just have to sit around and listen to engineering geeks talk about,
test compliance, aero flow performance capacity, value integration, inlet mapping at ambient temperatures, compressor transients, thermal distortion, surge margin...

And after ten or so hours of that, my head is ready to explode.

or Nutritional advice, but I wont ask people to come thru IM just
to post an email in my group forum...

Hell, I could probably get an IM picnic together with as many people
who live in phx now..
