Hey i just need advice on what kind of protein powder and multi vitamin i should get..

Optimum 100% whey protein or ON 100% whey have been suggested which do you suggest?

Multi vitamin i have no idea which is the best for good price..

EDIT: I was also thinking about taking fish oil on top of these 2 supplements (example: OMEGA #)

also i saw these comments on protein powder and was wondering if anyone knows anything about it....

"I take my whey with water because I have heard that milk has calcium which softens the body muscle."

Is this statement true? Someone has also told me to take it with NON-FAT milk so would this avoid it?

"My only complaint is that they are sweetened with artificial sweeteners ( Sucralose aka "Splenda" for Strawberry, Acesulfame Potassium aka "Sweet One" for Double-Rich-Chocolate ). I'm concerned as there have been no long-term human studies conducted to determine the potential health effects of Splenda on humans. Until long-term human studies are conducted, no one will know for sure whether Splenda is really safe or unsafe for humans to eat. They have a Natural Whey product with no artificial sweeteners that I think I will switch to ( contains natural fructose instead )."

What is the Natural Whey product that contains natural fructose is he talking about??

Thank you

Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey (great brand), a multivitamin (Opti-Men, Orange Triad, NOW ADAM, NOW Ecogreen, Mega Men, etc. are all good choices), and a Fish Oil would be something to look into.

As for the statement on calcium softening muscle tissues that is entirely false. :p

With the natural whey it includes a natural sweetener such as Stevia, if you are opposed to things like Splenda, AceK, etc. then it would be a viable choice for you. If you are not I'd stick with the 100% Whey.

X2 on the 100% whey

Ok thank you so much!

I just realized that ON 100% and Optimum are the same thing as you just pointed it out and i looked at BB store one more time..

One more quick and somewhat stupid question.. If i get the chocolate flavor (since i heard its the best for protein) will that be like eating chocolate and increase acne? I have been staying off the chocolate for so long that i have almost no acne so i want to keep it that way if you understand..

SO IN CONCLUSION I AM GETTING THESE 3:

-Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protein
-GNC Men's Mega Men® Multivitamin
-Omega 3 Fish Oil

It may cause that effect, if you don't want chocolate, Optimum makes a variety of good flavors. The cookies n' creme is very good.

Apple Cider
Banana Cream
Caramel Toffee Fudge
Chocolate Mint
Cookies N' Cream
Delicious Strawberry
Double Rich Chocolate
Eggnog
Extreme Milk Chocolate
French Vanilla Creme
Gingerbread Cookie
Mocha Cappuccino
Pumpkin Pie
Rocky Road
Strawberry Banana
Tropical Punch
Vanilla Ice Cream

Chocolate alone cannot be blamed for acne. Maintaining a healthy diet will prevent acne, among other things.

There have been some controversial topics over Stevia, as well, so look into that some more. There have been some studies on AceK that show it is a potential carcinogen. Again, it is up to you and what makes you comfortable. You need to do the research and make your own decision. If you are looking for a 100% natural protein, look at NOW Foods Protein Isolate (unflavored). It is expensive but probably what you're looking for.

Otherwise, the fish oil and multi vitamin look okay to me.

Evil, thanks for that suggestion.. i looked into it and i found this:

Whey Protein Isolate, 5 lbs, NOW FOODS

it is only 2$ more than ON 100% Whey but with the shipping (9$) it comes out to be 54$.. If you are telling me that this unflavored whey protein is healthier than ON 100% Whey than i think i will get this one.. anyone agree that i should get this rather than ON 100% Whey?

If i should stick with ON 100% Whey, Cookies & Cream would be a good non-chocolate choice? I also saw on the ingredients that cocoa / coffee is in it..

Vanilla Ice Cream yummy!!!:thumb:

That doesn't help me at all.. i didn't ask what flavor tastes good...

This was my last final question..

Whey Protein Isolate, 5 lbs, NOW FOODS

This is all natural unflavored protein.. If i am looking for a healthier protein powder (no artificial flavor, etc.) this would be the good choice? its only 5$ more than ON 100% Whey.

So do you suggest i get the Whey Protein Isolate or the ON 100% Whey?

If they are exactly the same except that NOW FOODS has no artificial flavor because it is unflavored.. than i will get the NOW FOODS one

My post was not directed at you it was in response to amino89 list of flavors. I have no advice to offer you sorry:thumb:

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
ON Rocky Road is amazing. I consistently pick up 10lb bags of the gold standard for right about 65-70 bucks.
