After watching the trailers for the new wolverine film, I did some research and Hugh followed a pretty strict diet of no carbs after midday, six meals a day of animal protein (mainly chicken) and veg.

Im looking to pack on alot of lean mass, and I know there are no quick fixes or gimicks that are going to make this happen over night.

I was just wondering if no carbs after 12pm, would be better than no carbs after 6pm.

Neither, both rubbish.

The only reason to not eat carbs after 12 is if you train in the morning and eat relatively low carb. But eating low carb is not the way to stay lean while bulking, thats calorie control.

Ive got a friend who is active (does judo, swimming, badminton all week as well as 3 sessions with weights)

she swears by :no carbs after 6pm and nothing to eat after 8pm ive told her that I eat 1/2 a tub of cottage cheese before bed, she asked me why and said that if I have enough to eat at dinner time my body wont need anything until the next morning

she then phoned a friend of hers whos is a bodybuilder to ask him what he thought, after she asked there was a long silence, she told him to stop laughing and then said that they both agree eating anything before bed =fat gain

As your body doesnt utilise nutrients while you sleep it effectively shuts down aside from the brain

your body does not shut down, every organ is a muscle and they continue to work, you still breath, you still pump blood, your digestive system still works, your bladder still fills. all of this action requires fuel, which comes from food , yes the the body may require less energy to do these things it slows down but it never shuts down, you will still you calories over night

Ive answered this for you before! Did you forget what I said?

Go back and take a look, I think I gave a pretty good answer at the time.
