So i've got an all you can eat seafood dinner coming up with friends.

Problem is i'm cutting (carb cycling) at the moment so i'm trying to watch my cal intake. At the same time i don't want to waste $100+ on good food.

Is it ok to try and get most of my daily cals from this meal? I'm currently aiming for 2000 cals on my high carb day. How would i go about doing this? If i eat less during the day then my stomach will shrink so i won't be able to consume a lot of cals come dinner time. I'm planning to have morning, mid morning and lunch meals then load up on the water to keep my stomach 'stretched'

Also can i substitute more protein for the carbs as this meal to make up for the calories seeing as seafood is high in protein and i plan to eat alot of it! lol

I know it's only one meal but i don't want to take a step backwards and hinder my progress.

Advice is appreciated!

subtract a few hundred calories to make up for this day before and after the day. If this is one WED subtract a few hundred calories on mon, tue, thurs, fri, to make up for the calories at the end of the week.

Dont fret over it. Sometimes its nice to have a little dinner out and about, unless you are going to be competing soon, then you have no choice but to stay strict. If you are just like me, enjoy yourself, and double down to make up for it.

Fast the entire day and then go to the thing and eat.

Also, what is all this nonsense about worrying about your stomach's elasticity? How much are you actually planning on eating?

i'm not trying to win an all you can eat competition or anything but i've noticed that if you don't eat ll day then eat at night, you tend to be full ALOT quicker as opposed to frequent mels through out the day.

Anyways looks like i'll adjust calories before and after that day.

tks for the advice guys.

I do Pfunks plan on thanksgiving, on accident. I cook all day then GRUB. I dont see what the big deal is for one day though. If this is a weekly thing then be worried, if its a once in a great moon occurrence enjoy yourself.

You can have a special meal out and over do it every once in a while.

Just eat very clean the rest of the day. If I had a special event coming up I'd probably omit my starch from lunch and then eat lots of fish and avoid bread, pasta and dessert rom the special meal.

Either way, all you can eat isn't really gonna support your goals. I always try to eat only as much as I need.

Why not just get all of your daily cals from the meal?

It's seafood! Unless you are eating it fried (yuk) then I'd just eat and not worry about it. I just went to an all you can eat seafood buffet the other day. Stuffed myself on lobster (sans butter) crab, fish, shrimp etc. It was heavenly! :daydream:
