HANDBOOK 2010

Health
:
1. Drink plenty of water.
2. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a beggar.
3. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants..
4. Live with the 3 E's -- Energy, Enthusiasm and Empathy
5. Make time to pray.
6. Play more games
7. Read more books than you did in 2009.
8. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day
9. Sleep for 7 hours.
10. Take a 10-30 minutes walk daily. And while you walk, smile.

Personality
:
11. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
12. Don't have negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
13. Don't over do. Keep your limits.
14. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
15. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip.
16. Dream more while you are awake
17. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
18. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner with His/her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
20. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present.
21.. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
22. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
23. Smile and laugh more.
24. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree...

Society
:
25. Call your family often.
26. Each day give something good to others.
27. Forgive everyone for everything..
28. Spend time w/ people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6.
29. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
30. What other people think of you is none of your business.
31. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.

Life
:
32. Do the right thing!
33. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.
34. GOD heals everything.
35. However good or bad a situation is, it will change..
36. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
37. The best is yet to come..
38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.
39. Your Inner most is always happy. So, be happy.

Wow Rob are you born again or something? What's all this Pray and God business?

Cool post!

However.....

38. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it.

Is this oppose to waking up dead? :hmmm: :p

27 waht if someone steals your weed and girl?

Some good point on the list - except for the reference to a god or group of gods.

Out of that whole list, you had to pull out the God comments to scrutinise didn't you. Why can't you just ignore it like the others you don't agree with rather than trying to create a taboo around the word 'God'.

:coffee:

God just called. He said, "Don't go there."

Then he said, "Don't start none, won't be none.".

Then he asked me why Athiests are such angry little people.

For me, sleep for 8 hours!

Stop crying.

Just pointing out the fact that he usually doesn't post things with religion in them...

I also thought the same, Rob isn't religious.
#34 reminds me of my friend who was dying in the hospital, he blood count was way too low..3 point something, his belief wouldn't let him get a blood transfusion..he's a jehova witness.

Its funny how you guys talk about religion as if you've understood it from a believer's point of view, just because you got the internet these days. You just don't understand if you don't believe.

I felt the lord calling me when I was 7 years old, got baptized and everything, then I realized at 12 when I got into Buddhism that I was the victim of a ruthless fear campaign to initiate people into a cult, a cult that powerful men through the ages used to lull the complacent multitudes to do their beckoning. I am smart enough to realize what the score is and you can't handle that, so you cower behind your fairy tales and spooks in the sky...

I believe in God but not religion, can you understand that?
Now I also respect your beliefs same as I respect an atheists disbeliefs which most people like you don't.
I believe in the system that man runs, now all that I have is disbelief.

"Do not judge, and you will not be judged; and do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; pardon, and you will be pardoned.....fag

That's easy to understand.. "God" made man but religion is man made.

Love the list and it was a much-needed read for me Rob, thanks for posting it. I'm not a "god" person, but that's different for everybody. Regardless of that part, I love the list and will refer back to it this year when I'm falling off track.

Live and let live I say. I don't see why people here, and in general care so much about other peoples beliefs. If someone wants to worship the moon, if they aren't killing people in doing so then let em.

What are you? Dr. Seuss? :D

Remaining as neutral as possible, I would agree with FMJ. Followed by, yeah, I can understand why some people choose not to follow Christian (or other) beliefs.....That Human Nature thing tends to screw up a lot of stuff.

Okay I don't really do what anyone else wants me to do. Being kind is not just in religion if thats what you mean. I don't see how it's used as a tool, especially in modern day, to brainwash people into a "cult".

Don't say you're smart enough to realize what the score is, you just have different beliefs. In the end we all have different. Your belief is that you're too smart for religion. It's a belief because you don't really know anything. You just believe you do. I'm just asking for people to just leave things alone which they do not believe in.

Okay see min0. This is exactly it. How am I disrespecting other's beliefs when I'm asking for people not to ridicule mine? I'm not condemning you for being an atheist. It's acceptable and at no point have I made a judgement on other's beliefs, when I am just asking for religious beliefs to be left alone.

No offense but you got this one twisted. You're the one disrespecting the belief of God, by ridiculing it, when all I'm doing is trying to defend it by asking you to leave it alone.

That's correct I know nothing and have not even begun to learn and that is how I am smart enough to know....
