Colorado Doctor Who Aided In Steroid Probe Gets Probation
Oct 17, 2010 2:53 pm US/Mountain

MOBILE, Ala. (AP) ― A federal judge has sentenced a doctor who cooperated with drug investigators in Mobile in a steroids probe to a year of probation.

The Press-Register newspaper reports that 55-year-old Scott A. Corliss of Greeley, Colo., was sentenced Friday.

Corliss pleaded guilty in January 2008 to withholding information about a conspiracy to write prescriptions for anabolic steroids and other performance-enhancing substances.

His guilty plea led to criminal charges against several others in the investigation of Mobile-based Applied Pharmacy Services. A prosecutor had asked for leniency on his behalf.

Prosecutors said they reached out to Corliss first because they believed he was the least guilty in the conspiracy.

As part of his plea bargain, Corliss forfeited $12,000.

wow, the users probably got more time then the supplier.

I was going to a doc about a year ago who was pushing gear like it was candy. Feds came down hard on him. They were busting his balls pretty hard. Poor Doc killed himself rather then rat out his patients and go to federal pen. All patient medical files disappeared after the doc died. All that was left was a fireplace full of ashes. I laws here in the states are far to over reaching. What gives the goverment the right to tell you what you can do or put into your body. It's your body! You own it! There will hopefully come a day when the people of the United States will stand up and tell the goverment to go to hell.
