In Colorado there are 2 big shows this month. I am itching to buy that modular carbine.

The semi-auto Barrett is my dream weapon but I can't see spending that kind of cash on a toy.

sounds like you need to lay off the PC/Xbox/PS3 games before bed. when ever I play a FPS at night before bed I always have dreams about combat, as if my PTSD wasn't bad enough! lol

my gf's friends on Metro gave her a stun gun to keep on her side of the bed! :roflmao:

This guy got the single shot. I didn't think $3000 was that expensive. It could have been more and he just didn't want to say. Funny thing is, this is the first gun this fellow has ever bought. Last time I spoke with him he still hasn't shot one round out of it.

Do you think a 50 cal would go through a round hay bail ? maybe 4 to 5 ft in width ?
 
I wanted a 38 because my wife needs to use it to when I may not be home. She's comfortable with it and I also gave her a 22 to "play with" on the firing range. Friggin thing looks like a water pistol.

The .50 cal has armour piercing (AP) rounds available to the public in most states. It has a smaller diameter core that is hardened steel. When the bullet hits a hardened target the copper jacket explodes off the steel core from the force of the impact. The smaller steel core has high penetration. It will penetrate 12 inches of concrete.

I have personally fired AP rounds from 30.06 and .308 rifles and the penetration is amazing. The .308 can barely penetrate 1/2 inch steel plate. I have found the rounds stuck in the steel target with the front of the bullet through the steel plate and the rear of the bullet visible from the other side. This was at 200 meters. The 30.06 penetrates the 1/2 inch plate easily from 200 meters. I have fired the .308 at concrete and it will destroy a football sized piece with one round. You can also buy Armor Piercing Incendiary rounds that have steel cores (API).

I have a 44mag desert eagle. Its a beast but sure is expensive to blast away at the range. Also have a couple 9's, 22's and 38's.

My wife feels this way: If it's between this scumbag who dared entered her home and the protection of her family, this guy is dead. Period. She's a tough bitch in one breath and is the same nutjob who cries when that fucking Lifetime channel is on. She's also great with a knife. Her father taught her how to use one. My father in law is a complete badass.

I saw a guy shoot a 50cal last year. He shot a 2" thick piece of hardened steel at 200 yds. It all but went thru it. Awesome gun. If you ever shoot one you will want one. They don't kick any worse than any high power rifle, but they shake the damn earth.

That's one of the guns I had an opportunity to shoot in the service. They had 50cal machine guns on both sides of the ship and I was on the one team. At one time I could take it apart, put it back together, set the timing, and fire off rounds. Good times.

And the Navy is not the Army. lulz
