Sorry negros...

what are those US ciggies with the raised filter, good for bumping coke? :daydream:

Screw that. I say keep them on the market and put more chemicals in them. We get to tax them and idiots die. It's a win-win.

I'm no cigarette smoker but how can they ban flavored tobacco? Basically they're saying "it tastes too good, so it's harder for you to quit". And I highly doubt menthol or flavored tobacco is that much worse for you than regular smokes.

Either ban them all or leave them.

Menthol Cigarette Ban in U.S. May Aid Public Health, Advisors to FDA Find - Bloomberg

Served in the U.S. Navy from 1983 to 1988 and if I learned nothing else it was that there was a definite line between...

and
marlboro.jpg
.

But it's more stone stupid than racist.

And the report answers: "The evidence is sufficient to conclude that it is more likely than not that the availability of menthol cigarettes increases the likelihood of experimentation and regular smoking beyond the anticipated prevalence if such cigarettes were not available, in the general population and particularly in African Americans."

That would seem to be a "yes."

Thus does the Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee make its way toward its recommendation to the FDA: "Removal of menthol cigarettes from the marketplace would benefit public health in the United States."
From http://www.latimes.com/health/boostershots/la-heb-menthol-cigarettes-20110318,0,5270645.story

Dear Tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee,

This sh1t is killing people regardless of menthol, so why not recommend removal of cigarettes from the marketplace?

I know why. There's no way it could happen. Too much money for the tobacco companies no matter what the cost to citizens' health or pocketbook (a carton of Marlboros or Newports is upwards of seventy dollars :mooh:).
