Late night host Jimmy Fallon stepped outside of his normal role as a funnyman to take some serious dings at President Barack Obama on Tuesday night's show.

During an interview with NBC News's Brian Williams, Fallon said, "It feels like, to me, that President Obama is playing soccer in Rio with kids and Hillary Clinton seems to be really stepping up, almost like she's being very presidential, I feel like. Isn't it weird?"

Williams gave Obama a bit more credit, arguing that the machinery of the presidency follows Obama wherever he goes, enabling him to keep working outside of Washington. Fallon, however, wasn't buying it.

"Why is he there again?" he asked, referring to Obama's trip to Brazil. "To have cancelled this costs so much money ??? he can't get a refund? Come on! What is going down, he's making NCAA, doing his brackets on ESPN, I mean, who's advising him?"

Even Williams thought Fallon was entering new territory.

"We're seeing a little political 'tude!" Williams said in reaction to Fallon's comments.

"I don't normally do it but I get upset," said Fallon. "I have better people advising me than the president does. I feel like I want to hear from him."

The most stressful job in the world required plenty of down time, I would think.

Hell my job's nothing compared to his, and yet I'm ready to fly away by 4 o clock every day.
 
The irony is that this country would be much better off if he did nothing.

How can you delegate the duties when he cannot even take care of his own job. Not sure if he even knows who is supposed to do what. I wouldn't trust him to unclog my toilet - he would orate for 1 1/2 hours about the woes and injustices of bullied kids then call an electrican.

You don't even know what decisions the guy actually makes or what he does on a day to day or week to week basis.

Can't a guy poke some fun? Then push a bit. Then headlock him and wrestle him to the ground. Knee him in he head a few times. Break his jaw. Bite off his nose. Club him with a baby seal. Bash his brains in with an ashtray. Then call the police and tell them a turd burglar broke into the house and tried to steal money out of my paycheck to fund the research of the habits of bisexual hummingbirds.
 
This stuff is so fun to watch. 6 years ago the left was lambasting Bush for being on vacation at the ranch too much and the right defended him. Obama is doing the exact same thing and now the right lambastes him and the left defends Obama. I mean, can irony get any thicker than it does in politics? I swear, the thickness of the irony rivals the stank of the bullshit.

I don't think it's the time spent as much as the timing of it. Like I said, he can take the rest of his term on vacation, I have no problem with it. I am sure the VP would do a bang-up job :winkfinger:

I really don't understand how they hate a man who was so similar to the last one we had.

Obama is Bush. Where's that picture of them morphed, from now on I will post that picture for ever anti Obama thread.

Comon Dale, you know damn well you voted for the hope and change - you know, to throw out the 2 term war monger. Now he just put himself in a no-win situation. Obama has gone back on his message of peace and love (liar) or be seen as being seen as a shill for big oil and the UN (weak,liar).

At least Bush followed through on his 'war mongering' and kept his word.

I know, I know..and I wasn't referring to you only, I was talking to everyone making ridiculous comments above.

I just don't get why people put so much emphAsis on the president. The whole administration is equally responsible. It's just that obama is the only one liable.

But eh... I guess it's just human nature, we all argue half the time, just to pass the time anyway right?
