I would pay to be able to climb that, looks like fun... I used to trade PM jobs with guys on my ship to do Preventative Maintenance on the ships mast antennas just so I could climb up there and look out over the Harbor. One time I got to go up to do repairs while at sea, luckily the waters were calm, but still way up there the gentle swaying turns into much more tipping port and starboard. As a kid I used to climb way up into trees to the smallest branches that would support my weight and just lay back on a branch and chill with a book while the wind rocked me...

The video is deceiving because it seems he is going up untethered, but those pauses he makes are him waiting for the guy below to unclip and clip his tethers....


It never makes sense to me why the lower sections have cages, yet the highest parts are wide open, doesn't that seem backwards?

Nah, just like being out of my element... My mom told me when I was 3 they took me to the pool and my dad had the mindset that the only way a kid will learn to swim is if you just toss them in so he carried me out to the middle and tossed me several feet away and amazed all of them when I ducked under the water and started swimming underwater like a fish being tossed back. I did have the habit of going under in the bath tub for a long time when I was little so maybe I just thought it was the bath tub, I remember I liked the calm and serenity of being underwater.....
