Anyone have good information and the how too's for Quad injections. I think I may want to start adding them to my rotation.

They are my personal fave! Lots of real-estate there to move around tour injections. I use a 1" 22g pin some guys like a 23 or 25 but I just like to get the gear in and be done. I go around the inj site with an alcohol wipe in a circular motion away from the middle to push any bacteria away. Find a spot about a hands length from your hip on the outer front of the quad. I do mine seated on the shitter. To inj don't flex spread the skin with two fingers til taught then push the pun in gently and aspirated. If no blood,which I've never had in quads begin to push in at a count of about ten. Hold for a two count then remove the needle. I immediately apply pressure and massage the area for atleast a minute. Stand up flex and um flex a few times and your good. I don't go more than 2 ml in quads

I did a quad shot last wk with a 25g and kinda hurt when it pierced the skin...my delts I don't feel anything at all...

Man I love em personally. I let my arms hang naturally while making a fist and about that spot where the end of the fist is resting is where I will pin (outer part of the quad)
i to love quads..i prefer 23g 1in, but thinking of giving the 22's a try
i have no problems getting 3cc into the quads
agreed. i switched from a 23g to 22g just because it sucks up the oil so much quicker. i pull from two different vials and dont change the needle. once i get through that small pinch on the skin, i dont even really feel it go further in..

Why? If he is using rubbing alcohol on the vial top, it should not matter. It dulls the needle, but the vial top feels no pain.
Scar tissue buildup is the issue I would be most concerned with. Repeated injections in the same general area is damaging enough without introducing dulled needles into the equation. Additional luer-lock tips cost a minimum, take seconds to change, and can only serve to increase ease of use and comfort of injection, as well as provide an additional aseptic benefit.

The alcohol wipe on top is good bit everytime you pierce and pull out bacteria can go in the hole plus reusable vials aren't 100% sterile after the seal is broken. Plus for the 25 cents it costs for a new pin why risk it?

Here are my tips on quad injections. I love to do them now that I found out what works best for me. I heat the vial up with a heat pad to make the oil thinner and dissolve the hormone into the oil better. I swab the top of the vial with alcohol then open another alcohol pad and swab the injection site. Let it dry. Then I use a 20G 1.5in to draw the solution into the syringe. Switch to a 25G 1in for Injection. I insert slowly into the outer quad about half up the leg between hip and knee. I only insert slowly with quad injects no other spot. This is because I can feel around until a find a spot that has less pain receptors IMO. When the needle is in I aspirate (not needed) then slowly inject until it is gone. Then I wait about a minute to pull out syringe. Then I wipe with alcohol. Put heat pad on leg and massage for a few min. This method prevents the most pain for me. Everyone has their own way of doing things.
