R_Mendenhall Rashard Mendenhall For those of you who said you want to see Bin Laden burn in hell and piss on his ashes, I ask how would God feel about your heart?
2 May Rashard Mendenhall R_Mendenhall Rashard Mendenhall Those who judge others, will also be judged themselves.
2 May Rashard Mendenhall R_Mendenhall Rashard Mendenhall I believe in God. I believe we're ALL his children. And I believe HE is the ONE and ONLY judge. 2 May Rashard Mendenhall R_Mendenhall Rashard Mendenhall What kind of person celebrates death? It's amazing how people can HATE a man they have never even heard speak. We've only heard one side...

What a load of crap huh ?

Now that Osama's dead , i just ordered my anti islam shirts which i will be wearing on my way to work in manhattan . God Bless America & Death to all sandmonkeys :winkfinger:

I don't know who that is, but I bet God feels better about this then he did when christians killed millions and millions of people over the years in his name. Unless it's the old testiment god, he wouldn't give a fuck.

Killed millions of arabs , who cares ? Theyre all scumbags :shooter:

Further proof that you don't have to be a genuis to be a pro athlete. Though he is certainy entitled to his opinion...the retard.

He should just run the football and not his mouth. You are paid to be a running back not to develop deep thoughts about morality and post them to the world. Shut up and run with the pigskin

Maybe is whole family are psychopathic murderers. How else can someone have such sympathy for a psychopathic murderer?

It all depends. There's over 100, 000,000 Gods to choose from therefore you would have to check the moral codes for each God and then select which God to believe in.

Due to that fact that reality is not a democracy there can only be one true God or none at all. I'd guess that God cares about Osama on the same level that God cares about children who die at birth and the Small Pox.

While people bicker over who's God has the biggest dick, atheists have to sit back in silence and watch the world go to war with one another, have ancient superstitious rituals rammed down our thoats and then walk on eggshell so that we don't offend any of these numbskulls of different faiths.

I'd consider switching your anti-Islam T-shirt for an anti-religion but that's just me.

If you are a christian it also makes you a hypocrite for celebrating the death of your enemy and wishing more death upon others.

Most pro athletes know nothing about morality.
And care way too much about christian religion.
No wonder they often go bankrupt in a heartbeat.

I read something by a Muslim man the other day about Osama's death and how he was glad that one more terrorist was gone. He said he was sick of these extremists feeding on Muslims with low self esteem or who were suffering from depression and have suicidal tendencies.

This is what happens when you put faith into something that dosent exist. The idea of God is a farse. His religion prompted him to say these things. He didn't just come up with these deep thoughts and ideas on his own.

Apples & oranges. That would be true if all religions were the same. But Islam is not Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Hinduism, etc. Islam is particularly barbaric in so many ways. It's not only a religion, but also a code of law, and a form of government; a cult basically.

But just like those other religions everyone follows in different degrees, we have Christian extremists as well....and China is mostly atheist look how they treat those of religious faiths.....

All religions have had their fair share of blood on their hand including Buddhism. Just because one delusional crowd doesn't cause violence anymore that is no reason to respect their beliefs.

It was only due to an evolving morality that Christianity became an apparent religion of peace. If you were to follow the moral code of the bible they would throw your arse in jail or remove your kids from your custody.

Islam should be treated exactly the same as all religions. Believe it if you want to but don't go pushing it into people's lives and don't violate the human rights of any individual in the name of God. We give Islam undue respect that they never earned and they use it against us. If Christians tried this on our our country we'd tell them to GTFO. Equal set of rules for all would silence these clowns.

China's morality has nothing to do with religion or their lack of. They are communist to begin with and this is bordering on fascism, they are told what to think and how to act. The moment religion gets itself into a position of power it also becomes a state of fascism.

Just because you profess a belief in Jesus Christ doesn't mean that you are somehow perfect. We all still have basic human emotions and desires. and while being happy that the scumbag, piss ant, pig fucking, nutjob osama is dead may not be how Christ would react, his imperfect followers are still good people. hardly hypocrites.

they believe in religion, clearly they're not perfect.

They aren't good Christians, some would say thats an Oxymoron. I myself just abhor intolerance by anyone of faith or faithless, even if they are Satanists there can be good decency if they keep to themselves and tolerate others. I also don't like how Hell is buried in the core of this beautiful planet and all the glory of Heaven is somewhere out in the aether far away from this wonderful globe we call home...how dare we bury the heart of evil even if symbolically in it's heart and look to journey as far away as we can to a paradise that may or may not exist for our eternal reward....

Werd ^! It seems as if the more hate an intolerance they show towards non muslim infidels, the more we contort ourselves to show respect for their faith. They need to be held to the same standards as we in the civilized world hold ourselves.

You aren't getting it. As a Christian, anything short of perfection on your part in lauded as a complete failure because you hold yourself to a higher standard. They, being non-religious, believe that they're beyond failure or hypocrisy because they have no standards.

It's not that we don't have standards. We just don't live life as if there was an invisible boss in the sky that will someday reward or punish us.

I'm not happy that Osama is now dead (or whatever the current story is) as I realise he was not an evil man. In his eyes and his followers eyes he did what God had asked him to do [/QUOTEG]

Of course. There are no bad people. Just good people who do bad things.:hmmm: How can you dislike a guy who believes he's doing god's work? In that case, how can we try and convict him, considering that as a human being, he wasn't capable of forming a criminal intent?

How can you claim to have a strong moral compass when you believe that good and evil are entirely relative to each individual's interpretation?

I edited that post as I thought this was getting off topic but to answer your question, I feel that it is all relative. Did you notice the living conditions of Osama? He's from one of the wealthiest families in the world yet he chose to live in a cave with the bare basics and sleep on a dirty mattress for the sake of serving God. That's why I believe without a doubt that religion is the source for most of the evil in the world.
You saw the footage of entire countries celebrating in the streets after the 9/11 attacks. These people aren't evil, it's is their scewed views on reality and lack of education which has blinded their ability to know right from wrong. To add to that America is the current superpower and it didn't get there without killing their fair share of innocent people so there are many other aspects to take into consideration

My moral compass is based on limiting the amount of sufferring that I inflict upon another individual or another species. I also want to see the human race eventually unite and become an true civilised race that tackles real humanitarian issues that deal with us directly (the true architechs of our world) instead of spending our time fighting over imaginary friends.

We are still living in the dark ages, some people just let the shiny lights of technology fool them into thinking that we are not.

Are you implying that we need to believe in some kind of personal deity to in order to reach a certain level of morality?

It helps. Look at Sub-Saharan Africa. It's the place on the globe with the least amount of religion and is also the most fucked up place on Earth.

Well the first part of my statement was in jest thats why I quipped with the oxymoron...the second part was just me stating what sets me off against religions fighting, or all out contempt for any religion or bigotry or any other state of intolerance.......and to finish Heaven above, Hell Below that the way I learned it, and after the Rapture all those worthy will be swept off to Heaven Above while the rest of us non-believers and the sinners and the rest of us nt worthy will be left on the Hell that is Earth, and I say I'm fine with that cause I'd rather stay and fight to take back my home than abandon it, it's part of my belief system that the Earth is living and deserves so much better treatment from us than we give it, thats mans ultimate sin....
