In calling it a famine, the United Nations draws global attention to a crisis that has been escalating for the past few months. It made an urgent appeal for donations.

As for Somalia, they expect someone to "fix" things for them. They live in a desert and don't have mineral resources to sell. There is no fixing that.

I have compassion for people that aren't fucking themselves up. When SE and Japan were hit by tsunamis, I felt compassion. But not for the fuckers in Africa.
