The only real difference is CC's, Size, Weight, Speed and Manovering capabilities. If this is you first bike ever!! you deff should go with a 600cc bike. It's still almost 400lbs or more I believe. I tapped out at about 174mph on my R6 when I first started riding and didn't get bored for a while LOL. A 750cc bike is almost exactly like a 1000cc bike but less weight more around a 600cc bike, which inturn makes it alot easier to take corners than a 1000cc, and acceleration is another big difference along side with the torque and revs, get me???

It's just about the same differences in each size of bike you go up with. So 600ccs is more than fine brotha, after you ride it for atleast 6 months or so since you can ride all year round you lucky fuck.

Then grab up a 750cc bike and or straight go to the 1000cc, but make sure you know for a fact you can ride it because even the 600cc bike can kill ya in less than 5 seconds with a simple mistake of a jerk back from the hitting the throttle to hard and getting nervous and pulling it harder.

Your bike will try to throw you off of it all times, but man I just love them LOL, they are a mans best friend. WHO SAID DOGS ONLY CAN BE A MANS BEST FRIEND????

bro to be honest, if this is your first bike don't really go too flashy because you will drop it, I REAPEAT YOU WILL DROP IT at least once when your learning to ride it!!!!

So take that in mind brotha. Have fun and don't hurt yourself. Ride or die homie!!!!!
