I'm just curious what part age plays in the results gained through AAS.

For example: Take two guys, everything is exactly the same... Genetics/Build/Diet/Gym time, etc... the only difference is that one guy is 45 years old, and the other is 25.

Would the physical results from the gear be the same for each guy?

No, in my opinion they would not be the same. First, they may have the same genetic make up, but the older lifter has and is going through a decrease in natural test production, his biochemistry is different due to age, joints and tendons/ligaments have taken an additional pounding due to age. I started training seriously at 40, made some huge gains. But in all honesty, the last few years, 2-3 have taken their toll on me. I've torn my rotator albeit in 2005 and my triceps in 2011.

Age is a huge factor in this game, if not you would see some guy come out of the blue at 40 or so who you'd never heard of and dominate the sport. It just doesn't happen.

Just my opinion and based on what I have seen first hand.

Still even at 40+ you can get very nice body.

Agreed. I turned 30 this year and am beginning to feel the effects of aging. So at the 40+ can imagine the test level difference. However with proper dozing of aas cycle you can see great gains and imo more responsible ones as you are wiser in your decision making unlike the younger superman audience that is unstoppable, for now. Lol.

I'd bet the results of the 25 year old would be much better, but the 45 year old would still see some amazing results.

i am 51 and no matter what i do i cant look 21.but i can do better than i ever thought was possible for me.

gentics play a big part and cycle history also..Diet and excercise as well..But the younger guy should gain better on average.
