My first Mountain Dog Leg Workout
1st exercise: Lying leg curls(have someone hold ur hips down)
2 warm up
3 work sets12,10,8 all to failure
4th set drop back down to 12 rep set weight, do 10, drop 1 plate do 10, drop 1 plate do 10, then 25 partials( hams on fire)
Second exercise: stiff leg deads
2 warm up
3 work set wit 25lb plates for 10(close as you can get to failure)
Third exercise: leg press
Start feet low on platform slightly wider than shoulder width. Start with one plate each side and do sets of 10 til you get to a set where getting 10 was difficult. 1st set at that weight 10 reps with a 3 second eccentric decent then explode up. 2nd set add a plate 10 reps 3 second decent, explode up. 3rd set 10 reps(have a partner help with forced reps) add plate, 3 second descents, total 3 working sets( I was fucked by this point)
4th exercise: smith squats
1-2 warmups
2 sets of 10( close as possible to failure) legs where comfortable. These are 1 1/2 rep counts, start in up position squat all the way down til ur ass hits the ground come half way up and back down, controlled!! That's one rep. Do that 10 times for two sets.( I'm laying on the floor for 10mins after this nearly passed out)
Last exercise: leg extensions
Ass off the seat to target the tear drops 1 set for 12 reps heavy and to failure. I got 8 with four forced reps... And I couldn't walk to my car for 10 mins...
Just an example of one of John Meadows insane workouts. If you guys are serious about bodybuilding, hire this guy! Truly is amazing dude and overall cool mo fo! I thought I trained hard... I thought wrong
