I just find this entire upcoming election to be depressing. What choices do we have...We have a lying slithery piece of crap running against a lying slithery piece of crap. First, I want to say I am not a Mitt Romney fan, but He paid roughly 14% taxes on his capital gains revenue(money he has already paid taxes on once) However, Barack Hussein paid under 21%, he claimed a 3K loss (yearly max) via capital gains. An average American pays about 29% of earned income in taxes, so who is really paying their "fair share"??

I agree but I'm disappointed in the people almost as much as the GOP. I always hear people whine about shitty politicians getting elected but after this GOP race I don't buy it. They're going to elect Romney as the GOP nominee who is the most slithery of the bunch just because the establishment told them to. The people say they're tired of the status quo but that's exactly who they vote for. I can't even remember hearing anyone say "Romney is exactly what this country needs, he's my ideal candidate": it's always "well he's not as bad as Obama".

Nice strawman argument. Romney isn't paying taxes on the money he already made, he's paying taxes on the profit he makes from it. In other words, he's not paying taxes twice on the same money, he's paying taxes on that money, reinvesting it, and then getting taxed on any profit he makes from that money. Nice try. It's hilarious how people will talk like they're an authority on something they don't even understand.
what do you expect when they don't even understand how inflation effects purchasing power or the direct correlation that wages/income has on taxes and with the ability to create wealth which then in turn effects consumption. in terms of economic intelligence the US ranks at the bottom of the OECD, which is painfully obvious.
The difference between Obama and Paul are totally different. How can u go from Paul to Obama? I don't get it. What about the libertarian candidate Gary Johnson? He's more like Paul.
I stated in correctly, MR paid taxes (at some point) on his initial earned income prior to him investing it, which wasn't my point in the first place, MR paid his share of taxes from capital gains, BHO paid 8 points less than the average American, while claiming a loss of 3K in capital gains was my point. Furthermore, I don't care to change your way of thinking or what you believe, or who you back politically, understand that. Ron Paul is my candidate of choice, not MR.
I'm not voting for Obama, I'm voting to make sure Romney gets nowhere near the presidency.
Here's the problem...Obama paid 21% and Romney paid 14%. Both of those assholes use the roads more than me, and both sure as hell made money off of public education and other things our tax dollars pay for via investments. I don't care where the money came from, whether it's capital gains or not, both of those peckerheads use far more of what our tax dollars go to than me and both profit from those services, so both should be taxed more, which is why the percentage should be fixed regardless of revenue stream.
This shits almost worse than Bush vs. Kerry, not as bad, that one made me lose all faith in our political system for good....

I'm so glad to be independent.
I'm glad I work hard and make good money so Mr. Romney will take care of me. All of this BS about presidential taxes, who cares? Obama went toone of the premium private schools here in Hawaii, it costs a pretty penny to go their ($18,500 for this year).... This is where my boss went to school and his daughters, Steve Case of AOL and Pierre Omidyar of Ebay
Not only that, but he expanded govt at an alarming rate, at the same time restricting our liberties & putting us even more in debt.
