JOE LEGAL vs. JOSE ILLEGAL

I always lol when Irish people talk shit about immigrants. You are Irish, lmao.

for the record, irish is talking about ILLEGAL aliens, aka immigrants.

ALL Americans (excluding AI) are immigrants, not only Irish people.

negged.

I was talking about illegal immigrants also, bro. How do you think most Irish people got to the US? Illegal/undocumented immigration was HUGE in the 1800's.

seemingly relevant.. yet.. not actually relevant at all

The majority of them came here legally. Plus, they came here from first-world countries.

back then america needed immigration...we're way over capacity right now...we need to send a bunch back...i'll vote to send them as long as it's mexicans, africans, and pretty that's it...that's almost all of the worthless ones...

btw, if this hurricane takes out haiti again f'em...it's just mother nature saying we don't want you dirty fuckers around leaching off us anymore

Doesn't matter bigots hated on them as much as people hate on the Mexicans today....

if the US fed gov actually cared about it's citizen's it would not enacted legislation like NAFTA and other "free trade" agreements that pit US wage earners against the rest of the world after executive branch sponsored labor union smashing

Someboy please ban little wing.

the enlarged phrase is all i needed to know...she came here illegally...it's like buying lottery tickets with drug money...YOU"RE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE PRIZE IF YOU BUY TICKETS WITH MONEY FROM A CRIME!!!

she's doesn't and get shit...doesn't get to pass "GO" and collect...she knew the stakes and played the game and systems...she committed fraud and identity theft on many levels...i don't feel sorry for her...if illegals can afford to send money back to mexico, they can afford to pay and afford to take the steps to become a legal citizen...sometimes that's just waiting the required time and sometimes it's all about money...not my f'n problem...it's pretty bad when mexico doesn't even want mexicans there

dear god, can't people fucking read anymore? the article points out that employers don't even take the simple step to match names to the stolen numbers. it'd catch a lot of them red handed. it's like they are being allowed by sloppy bs mismanagement to get away with it. maybe to get the taxes and ss??? makes no damned sense why it isn't dealt with. i don't have any sympathy, i'm pissed they steal numbers so easy and fuck all is being done to prevent it.

if you lazy bastards could click a link you'd see the article is about this shit
Camber Lybbert thought it was a mistake when her bank told her that her daughter's Social Security number, issued by the U.S. government, was on their files for two credit cards and two auto loans, with an outstanding balance of more than $25,000.
Her daughter is 3 years old.

Government Accountability Office study found that employers with the most mismatches were concentrated in industries that hire a lot of illegal immigrants, including agriculture, construction and food services.
"Right now, employers are not motivated to care if their workers give them false Social Security numbers," said Barbara Bovbjerg, the office's director of education, workforce and income security issues.

and the last bold part needs to change.

legislation that imposes any kind of substantial fine or criminal charges can't make it out of committee. the laws for business and the individual are night and day. only in the US can a person get 25 years for 3 strikes for minor non-violent crimes while another group steals trillions with out any charges being filled...

They push the same agenda, big government. the dems finished the reps dirty work for them with nafta, I was pretty young, but, I remember my Pops was steaming mad over this, at Bush and Clinton.

Reagan actually got the ball rolling with NAFTA, he used to talk about open borders, etc. all the time in his speeches. the actually treaty was signed in Texas in '92 with Bush Sr, the Canadian PM and the President of Mexico. Clinton only signed the legislation into law, but he's still a big fan of one world government as are most out of the ivy league schools.

from election cycle to election cycle there are no major changes in policy. the attempt at healthcare reform by Obama is probably the biggest in about 40 years. not counting the fake ass security measures that have been established to protect us from a non-existent enemy (unless you want to count greed). the major-minor differences would be the bottom up approach from the Dems and the top down by the GOP in terms of economic policy, etc. the dems redistribute in the open with social policy and the GOP does it via back channels with subsidy, lax enforcement for regulator offenders, financial deregulation, etc.

nothing can stop the global shift in GDP that is coming down the road in decades but at least the fuckers on both sides could at least try to properly educate the youth etc. so they can maybe have a chance at competing in the global workforce of the future.

If they came through Ellis Island(and they all did) they were not illegal, maybe you should stick to your own country's history.Negged.

which means nothing. by definition a 1st world country is one that is democratic and capitalist. immigration whether it's legal or illegal pushes down wages, this is global economic history. as the costs of transportation decreased over time immigrants came from further and further away from the US and slowed from europe to america when the gap in wages closed.

It means everything. Screw the concept of democracies and capitalism, I'm talking about the cultures. Take all the illegal Mexicans flooding into the US. They're turning everything they touch into a Mexico-like environment with their shitty culture.

I will expand on an excellent point. When my grandparents came through Ellis Island from Italy, they were thrilled to become Americans, they never referred to themselves as Italian Americans, they were Americans. They conformed to the USA's culture in many ways, except cooking, speaking Italian in their home, and growing veggies that I can remember.
They spoke english to everyone outside their home, they flew an American flag for the 4th of July, etc... This sentiment is missing with many immigrants today. we have embraced terms like "mexican americans", 'african american" "asian american" it's all BS, you're either one or you're the other. To classify someone as both is in itself is a contradiction in term. my 2 cents.

Illegal immigration is not a big problem.

In light of the effects of our casino economy, wealth disparity, income inequality, frozen wages, death of the 40 hour workweek, a poisoned gulf, and the like, I'd say illegal immigration falls somewhere before teen pregnancy and after elderly colitis.

Besides, when brown people become the majority in this country (it's right around the corner), think of how the borders will just be opened. Who's going to stop the majority? Hell, we might even be annexed by Mexico.

Seriously though, amnesty is always the first step in battling illegal immigrants. Reagan did it.

Then we change our border security and / or laws and the process continues.

Yawn.

What a big no nothin no it all.

Man I wish I was Illegal. Better yet the lesson to be learned here is find a job which will pay you under the table...lol I don't know about y'all but I'm going to start searching for one...

illegals are Americas # 1 problem period. If you think otherwise then your an illegal who wants to be treated "fair" because it's Mexi-CAN not Mexi-CAN'T...save that bullshit line for your bus ride back to Mexico :paddle:

You must not live down south, illegal immigration is a terrible problem. We start popping them now or they're gonna do it to us

People that say that illegals aren't a problem fall into one or more of the following categories:

1. They're here illegally.
2. They putting it to, or getting it put to them by, an illegal.
3. A relative or close friend is putting it to, or getting it put to them by, an illegal.
4. They live in a place that has few illegals.
5. They're a minority.

I had one while going to college, hours were shitty, no medical, no vacation, never a chance for a raise.

there are a problem but not a major problem. there is not one leading nobel or highly cited economist in the world or is there any empirical data that identifies illegal immigration is one of the main problems with the US economy.

the elites and capitalists that created the problem do not want to solve it nor do they personally feel its effects.

You won't find it because it would be career suicide to say it.

or maybe they hire illegals.

nor is there any data that supports it...the employment problem in the US started in the 70's before the illegals started to come. and the jobs that they take are all low wage, the main problem with the US economy right now. far to many low wage jobs and not enough high paying jobs for the working class.

one of my friends is the manager of a Levi's store here in Vegas, it's the most profitable store that Levi's has in the world in terms of sales. there are over 250 employees that work there on different shifts, in the warehouse, etc. out of all of them him and maybe a hand full of others that are shift managers make decent wages, the rest are all earning 1980's wages once adjusted for inflation. it is the same model followed and used by all in the low wage service sector and has always been the basis for capitalism. low wages for the workers so the profits flow up to the top.
