Federal Steroid Witch-Hunt Targeted Former Girlfriends of Lance Armstrong
by Millard Baker ~ source

In case anyone needed more proof that the federal investigations involving celebrity athletes and anabolic steroids were little more than a witch-hunt, we learn that federal prosecutors targeted at least one former girlfriend of pro cyclist Lance Armstrong. According to the New York Daily News, federal agents interviewed Grammy Award-winning musician Sheryl Crow for details involving Armstrong?s alleged use of steroids and performance-enhancing drugs (PEDs).

Armstrong and Crow became one of America?s most high-profile celebrity couples after their relationship became public in 2003. The relationship spanned over two years and culminated in a five-month engagement. The engagement amicably ended in 2005. During the course of their relationship, Armstrong won the last two of his seven Tour de France titles.

Armstrong and Crow reportedly spent a lot of time together while Armstrong was training in Europe. She stayed in Armstrong?s apartment in Girona, Spain and traveled frequently in Armstrong?s private jet. Floyd Landis and Tyler Hamilton, two of Armstrong?s former teammates on the United States Postal Service pro cycling team, claimed that Armstrong?s Girona apartment was used as a storage facility storage bags of blood and an important distribution point for performance-enhancing drugs. They also report that Armstrong?s private jet was used for doping.

Landis and Hamilton independently alleged that Armstrong was the leader of the doping program at the USPS team. They have claimed that a wide variety of PEDs, such as testosterone and erythropoietin (EPO), and banned performance-enhancing techniques, such as blood doping or blood transfusions, fueled the success of the USPS team that led Armstrong to multiple Tour de France victories.

Landis and Hamilton were two of ten former Armstrong teammates that the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) claimed were prepared to testify against Armstrong.

Crow was reportedly subpenaed to appear before a federal grand jury investigating the Armstrong doping scandal. But United States Attorney Andre Birotte, Jr. dropped the investigation on February 3, 2012 prior to hearing testimony from Crow.

Crow and Armstrong have refused to comment on the New York Daily News report.

Makes you laugh, all of this for a bicycle race

This same so-called witch hunt in which the pussy chose not to fight because his ass was had by numerous people, who were close to him, willing to testify against him in Federal Court. People just don't perjure themselves in depositions and court because they hold a grudge.

Lance knew the rules. He's a liar and cheater and will go down in the history books as such.

At least he can sell yellow bracelets.

The cool thing about that is he cares more about the cause those little yellow bracelets support than the yellow jerseys he has one. He has raised 1/2 billion dollars for cancer research. Unless your a moron that should be his legacy.

^^^ I accept his foundation, but in reality he is just the figure head for the foundation and other people are running it. I support live strong and buy products endorsed to from them such as my live strong nike freerun shoes. Only because I support the foundation and I have nothing against people who use gear and use it for their advantage. Because I am sure if I was put in his situation I would personally do the same thing. However, when you are guilty of it you must accept the crime and not allow people to defend your lies.

No shit has been given here.
