The Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 2003 (Pub.L. 108-105, 117 Stat. 1201, enacted November 5, 2003, 18 U.S.C. ? 1531,[SUP][1][/SUP] PBA Ban) is a United States law prohibiting a form of late-term abortion that the Act calls "partial-birth abortion", often referred to in medical literature as intact dilation and extraction.[SUP][2][/SUP] Under this law, "Any physician who, in or affecting interstate or foreign commerce, knowingly performs a partial-birth abortion and thereby kills a human fetus shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 2 years, or both." The law was enacted in 2003, and in 2007 its constitutionality was upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, in the case of Gonzales v. Carhart.

that woman is a fucking retard. :coffee:

Six years ago, Congress passed the ?Born-Alive Infants Protection Act,? making it illegal to kill a child who is fully born during an attempted abortion. The bill passed without a single opposing vote in either house, and was signed into law by President Bush on August 5, 2002. When he was a state senator at that same time, Barack Obama opposed a state version of the bill in Illinois. His explanation for the vote since then has been that the state version did not include a so-called ?neutrality clause? which says explicitly that the bill is not meant to influence the legal standing of a fetus before birth one way or another.

someone should have aborted that ugly ignorant bitch. imagine hearing that this is your baby's condition

you're in the later stages of pregnancy and your child has NO chance. your choice how to proceed is none of that ignorant whore's business.

She is also not who she is pretending to be in the video. She is a far right religious nut job, who runs this organization: http://www.f2a.org/

More deceit coming from the desperate right.

you can tell she's crazy just by looking at her.

If the issue at hand is what a woman does with her own body, why is prostitution illegal? I'll wait...

i'm still waiting for you to answer me. would you want anyone to force your wife to continue to carry a deformed fetus with no brain? impose their beliefs on her? saddle your family with unbelievable health care cost for a potato until it dies on it's own?

regret clicking into this thread : (

sorry. it pisses me off that people are too ignorant to realize any woman facing the decision of late tern abortion is in enough hell without some religious freak assuming they are willfully killing a sweet little pink healthy baby. pta is illegal in all but the most dire of circumstances.

in some places in Nevada it is perfectly legal. and if you're filming porn it seems. go figure.

See, you post a pretty extreme example(s). If the issue at hand is rape, the child's life, or the mother's life...that's one thing. I'm talking about aborting kids just for the hell of it. And, you know that's what I'm talking about. How many babies are aborted just because she doesn't want her kid?

It's legal in Canada too, they just aren't allowed to solicit in public.

i see your point and agree whole heartedly agree with the principle
its just sad : (

sec, do you know how an iud works? it induces a spontaneous abortion. the egg can be fertilized n baby start to grow but it doesn't implant on uterine wall. flooding the earth with unwanted kids isn't a reasonable thing to do. not when so many here have no one already and end up sucking some foster dad's dick in online porn.

I just came back from Las Vegas. I think it's only legal in two counties in the entire state. Certainly not Clark County.

You're missing my point. You're going waaaaaay off topic.

it's really sad i know, but i never see sec on here saying anything about how sad it is that children are dying in these middle east wars etc, that American soldiers routinely blow up innocents. the screaming about the unborn is weird in light of the lack of concern for the living.

Republicans need live babies so they can grow up to be dead soldiers-George Carlin.

no i'm not people are fine with birth control when some birth control works by causing the viable living fetus to be spontaneously aborted.

Mirena IUD considered abortion? - The Debate Team - BabyCenter

Posted 03/01/2009 I was recently told by my OBGYN that she wouldn't give me Mirena, the hormonal IUD, as my birth control. She gave me a referral to another OBGYN who DOES give them.
Her reasoning was that she believes Mirena causes abortions, it doesn't prevent pregnancy at all. It doesn't prevent ovulation, and it doesn't prevent the sperm from fertilizing the egg, it does however prevent implantation.
