I just drove from Phoenix to Daytona Beach non-stop. left my parents at 0900 saturday and arrived here at 0300 last night. that may have been the worst thing I've ever done in my entire life. taking the southern route through texas on I-10 east is pretty much the exact opposite of fun, no radio stations and no mobile reception.

Those long strait interstate drives can be brutal. I get road hypnosis like a motherfucker.

you and me both...I stopped for gas at 1/2 tank that's what kept me going, not even sure how many times I stopped lost count need to check my statement and see.

What tunes were you playing?

Gotta have a good bike and plenty of time. My brother went coast to coast and back twice on a BMW. More of a Harley/Indian guy myself, but you can't argue with BMW as a solid, comfortable touring bike.

From San Anonio Texas to Phoniex is the worst drive there is...worse then Okie City to Omaha...cause thats the second worst...

Years ago I rode my stock 883 Sportster from Pennsylvania to Daytona Beach in about 20 hours. Just shy of 1,000 miles. A lot of fun but not a touring bike. lol

if I was ever to do it again it would be in a big camper and take a good month or two and see all that kind of stuff. right now, it's the furthest thing in my mind because it was a simply horrible experience...LOL

Atta boy, Hope the folks are doing fine, LAM.

But it had to be better than being groped in the airport, and the whole trip feeling like you were just violated. And while waiting in line like a good citizen, being looked at by those agents like you were a gravy smothered pork chop.

Lol how could that have been boring. Who needs a radio when u have a zr1

Well hell long flat road, I would be tempted to burry the needle

Sent while doing arm curls in the squat rack

If the ride is more then 3 hours I make a call to my vato Jose for a "ball" of stimulates. Otherwise I can't do it.

Oh dude, I soooooo feel your pain. When getting transferred from Langley AFB, VA to Nellis AFB, NV we had all our Earthly belongings in the largest U-Haul made and took that route. I thought Texas would never end. That was in 1989 and every other trip since then has seemed like paradise by comparison.

ide love to drive around america and see all the sights, with a cowboy hat on and a big fvck off cigar!!
ide have one of those old pickup trucks or a old mustang lol.

Me and a Navy buddy out of A-School drove from Chicago to LA, stopped off to visit my mom just south of St. Louis. White guy and black Casanova in the whitest parts of Missouri got looks from everyone. We had 2 weeks and a few months of paychecks, we stayed in nice hotels, picked up girls at almost every stop, partied 2 days straight in KC after meeting 2 wild girls. Visited his folks in New Mexico, stopped in Vegas for 3 days. Don't remember most of it cause if I wasn't driving I was drinking. We'd drive 200-300 miles and then need a drink again. Always travel with a friend!

After graduating High School I jumped in my moms 93 ZR1 and drove it from Houston to St. Louis all by myself, that didn't blow at all. Especially since I didn't get pulled over once, not like I didn't give plenty of reasons too. Just seeing the looks from those good old boys when an 18 year-old pulled into a truck stop alone in a Vette was fun.

Been a few years but if i remember right I10 through La may be worse than the rest of the entire trip. Noisy as hell and not much more to look at.
