A hoax? Nah. Were we spoon-fed intricate pieces of info in order to further a corrupt president's political agenda? Absolutely. Any liberal should be ashamed that they voted for that scumbag. I'm ashamed for them...

I'm convinced that it was actually gun manufacturers that were responsible for the killings. they knew gun sales would skyrocket following a shooting and gun fanatics buying up all the guns and ammo. sarcasm btw.

and you have to allow yourself to be spoonfed something. I wasn't spoonfed anything, I'm just sick of all the retarded conspiracy theorists.

There is definitely something more sinister behind the recent explosion of media coverage of every shooting that happens in America now. I recognize a sales pitch when I see one.

i blame it on rap music...

and the microchips in the vaccines right? You're not still using toilet paper are you. That's the governments new method of getting microchips into our anus'.

All kidding aside, my heart bleeds for the parents of those poor kids. My blood boils over the yellow journalists that use these people. The media keeps the delusion that an inanimate object is the problem. For some reason people can not put the blame where it belongs, the act of a madman. It is easier to blame the gun then to look our society in the face and say we failed when it comes to mental illness. It is society that granted the mentally ill more protections than you or I have. It is almost impossible to get someone committed even for observation. No one wants to say that the shooter's mother was a whack job. That the kid was so messed up she told baby sitters to be "careful around him". Then goes off on a vacation. She had a crazy son but never locked up her guns. Come on, really? The problem is not the damn gun it is the people using it.

Good post, but it will fall on deaf ears, bro. Your logic is flawless yet it MUST be overlooked in an effort to justify gun laws. Our country is becoming one full of spineless, sheep. Sad but true.

Great post, couldn't agree more.

I'm also liberal leaning

The media does what every criminologist advices against, makes the offender into a celeb/hero. Now where is the media slamming the media for irresponsible reporting?

Reps for this guy^^^

Had tougher gun restrictions been in place beforehand it would have changed nothing.

This is my firm belief, that it stems down to parenting. When kids go out and kill every one people gather to support the parents. My opinion is those parents are just as worthless as the murders. Where during the years of child hood develpment did they get this behavior for mass genocide? It comes down to the parents for improper parenting. Most parents now a days dont give a shit how they raise their kids. They will drive down the street listening to music talking about fucking bitches and nutting on their faces with there little kids in the car. I could not believe it when I heard a 4 year old girl singing that lil john song till the sweat drips off my balls. My grandmother slapped the shit out of my for having a clean rap tape when I was 8 that had the word butt in it. Shoot took it from me and listened to EVERY lyric when she heard the word butt she rain down the force of God on me. Then educated me why its disrespectful to listen to that type of music. I have a sence of respect for adults and the authority. We need to bring back harsher parenting period. This touchy feely shit does not work.

My dad use to chew my ass out if I made a mistake mowing the lane, or forgot to put away tools. I was grounded for a week for misplacing his socket wrench. I learned to value every thing he provided for me and respected him, never feared him, but he tought me never to cut corners, not to cheat, or steal and I live by that today.

jfc. multiple magazine will do the job just as well.

at least he was smart enough to mention mental health but if mental health is not the focus this is not going to stop.

i blame anyone focused on guns and not mental health care reform.

^^very true - gun restrictions will likely not hinder any crimal or the mentally ill from this. It just makes it harder for me to protect those around me, as I am a proud CHL holder

HEARTBROKEN father whose son died by suicide after a drink-fuelled night out has called for a ban on the below-cost selling of alcohol.

grieving parents do crazy shit like post their dead or deformed newborn on facebook
not that i don't have sympathy with all of these people
but maybe we should ban parents speaking out on anything political,
or that affects the rights of other, while they are out of sorts.
and maybe it should be a crime to take advantage of a person's grief to fuel an agenda.

ironmag is having so many times it takes minutes to load i couldn't edit above post. most of the links are grieving parents wanting to ban everything from alcohol to acorns...

This would encompass the entire administration you so adamantly champion, would it not?

i don't have much faith in anyone that thinks Romney would not have responded the same way. by the end of his campaign he pretty much WAS Obama. how quickly we forget what we want to.

Nice side-step, gorgeous. I've never mentioned Romney. Not even once.

your just trying to justify your failure of a vote for the proper president. There is no way Romney would have done the same thing even if he wanted to. All the presidents are puppets to the political party and there is no way that the party would EVER allow him to do so and by doing that they would be losing one of the largest forms of funding as well. Instead your president would rather stop allowing citizens to protect them selves while still providing weapons to others like in the fast and the furious case.

The only things I hear about today from Obama...

Ban Weapons
Global Warming
Ban College Football

What happened to the economy maybe he decided there was no way to fix it so lets go fuck other things up more.

so what does it have to do with one administration compared to the other? all politicians have multi faceted reasons for everything they do and neither side puts the good of the people first and foremost.

The big difference is one side is hell bent to change and abolish out constitution and the other side isnt. They want compelte gov't control... what benifit do we have with that? why should my tax dollars go to worthless people that want to live off of society? Why do they make it so easy to milk the system? Why are we putting so much money into a flaud health care system when our country is broke? Why do we trust a man with our money that shipped our stimulus funds over seas? Last question how can he be an American when he doesnt like foot ball?

by worthless people that want to live off the rest of us do you mean politicians? big banking? the ultra rich that get the benefits of strong government without ever paying taxes, oil and coal conglomerates, tech and entertainment companies, walmart etc etc etc???

The Democratic Staff of the Committee on Education and the Workforce estimates that one 200-person Wal-Mart store may result in a cost to federal taxpayers of $420,750 per year ? about $2,103 per employee. Specifically, the low wages result in the following additional public costs being passed along to taxpayers:

  • $36,000 a year for free and reduced lunches for just 50 qualifying Wal-Mart families.

  • $42,000 a year for Section 8 housing assistance, assuming 3 percent of the store employees qualify for such assistance, at $6,700 per family.

  • $125,000 a year for federal tax credits and deductions for low-income families, assuming 50 employees are heads of household with a child and 50 are married with two children.

  • $100,000 a year for the additional Title I expenses, assuming 50 Wal-Mart families qualify with an average of 2 children.

  • $108,000 a year for the additional federal health care costs of moving into state children's health insurance programs (S-CHIP), assuming 30 employees with an average of two children qualify.

  • $9,750 a year for the additional costs for low income energy assistance.
Among Wal-Mart employees, some single workers may be able to make ends meet. Others may be forced to take on two or three jobs. Others may have a spouse with a better job. And others simply cannot make ends meet. Because Wal-Mart fails to pay sufficient wages, U.S. taxpayers are forced to pick up the tab. In this sense, Wal-Mart's profits are not made only on the backs of its employees - but on the backs of every U.S. taxpayer.

blaming the poor for poverty makes as much sense as blaming a gun when a madman shoots people.

and doesnt like guns? the only people I know that hate guns are starbuck drinking yuppies that take wheat grass shots and eat goat cheese.

and parents who just lost a child to gun violence evidently.
