I don't give a shit about the NRA or Sharpton, but I do want to point out that there are almost 120 elements, maybe more by now. Only about 90 occur "naturally" and I know at least 50 of them will kill you deader than shit.

Elemental lead is rarely found in nature. It's usually found in a compound(ores). Simply put birds do not naturally come across balls of elemental lead.

However with eagles their biggest problem from lead was getting shot. After they became protected and DDT use was banned they went from endangered to the status of "least concern". They've flourished so it looks like lead bullets from hunting on land is minimal.
