my geologist buddy has an FJ and absolutely loves it. he's always posting pics on facebook of his truck parked at crazy angles on top of big rock and what not.

it's not a good looking as the jeep, but it's nice to ride in and great off road.

It's a great vehicle. Goes through anything and lots of room. Wife mostly drives it I have an f350. Only dislike is the difficulty removing the doors. As far as aftermarket hop ups the sky's the limit. I'd give it a 9 out of 10 all day.

I was going to buy a 4 runner( I have had two) they are incredible off road and on road. I went and looked at the moreno which I really digged but want to see the infinity version. And somehow I walked out with a g37 ( 4 door sedan) which I really like.

Jeeps wranglers have such.a short wheel base the ride is just shitty and Chrysler just cant figure out the starters and auto trans.

g37 is nice, I have a g35x and its an amazing ride. AWD and over 300 horse. Handling is tight and sharp. Best all around car I have ever owned. We get snow in the winter so I needed AWD. I have been eyeballing the g37x myself.

Mines rear wheel and kinda tricky in the winter. It really moves and I have never driven a car that tracks likes this one. Its so precise ans predictable.

I really like the car but theres a few interior finishes (ie sunglass holder) that looks straight from the altma. And its glaring plastic next to aluminum finish.

I always think of a Jeep as a second vehicle, but definitely not the one and only one, they ride too rough for my taste.

i got a Pajero Exceed for going down to the river and mud running when we head outback, also to fit all 3 kids seats in, but what fucken tard would put low profile rims on a 4x4 SUV making it useless for the 1 thing its good for......
go easy on the ones with lift kits in them also, they chew heaps more gas.....also avoid those fucken chunky offroad tyres, hard on fuel also...

my jeep isn't even remotely in the same class as these
but my two cents...it eats, shits and pukes gas...its worse gas mileage than my triton expedition..that I ironically sold because of fuel economy
its transmission has been out three times in 6 months..one of those times was because of a fuck up on my end to be fair
it is the worst riding vehicle in possibly the world..cept maybe a deuce and a half. It does have a 3 inch suspension lift and 33" off road tires.
only being a two door it is surprisingly roomy for hauling stuff...bonus the top comes off..doors takes two seconds to take off

what sort of mileage do you jeep owners get? i'm averaging 14 mpg and my stang only drinks premium.

I'm Canadian but I get 13l per 100km. That's mainly city. It's a six speed so highway is much better.

It's funny I have a2012 f350 with a 6.0l gas engine 3 inch lift and 295 tires and I get about the same mileage lol! But I have a company fuel card so I don't really worry too much.

i'm sure all my fancy electronic gizmos that ford pulled from lincoln will break after 3-4 years, but i hope to have a new ride by then. depending on what they do for the 50th anniversary model, i might be trading it in sooner. i was hooked after the test drive. 420 hp is a lot of fun

I saw a completely redone stang one time. Turned it into a straight race car. 550+ horse before the NOS was hit. It was actually taken to tracks and raced though. Can't even imagine how fast that is lol.
