    Healthy debate

I also heard that d-bol every 3-4 hours is best, especially in the middle of the night if you happen to wake up.

    Forearm Blast

The forearm isn't "a" muscle. Mostly, its the brachioradialis and the groups of wrist flexor and extensor muscles. The brachioradialis is what most determines forearm size. It is targeted heavily in any activity involving elbow flexion, and if this isn't enough hammer or reverse curls can be...

is this strength drop off normal?

I agree with Chigs. 30 seconds isn't nearly enough to rest if you're concerned about your strength levels.

    Forearm Blast

I'd be a lot more willing to listen if he hadn't stated that moving heavy dumbells and lifting on back day built strength, but not "functional" strength. Unfortunately, I stopped reading at that point.

    Gain Size With Deadlifts?????

Nah. I prefer to let strong abs and lower back as well as proper lifting technique take care of it. I've deadlifted 400+ and 350-380 for reps without one. My back is easily my strongest body part (+100 lb pullups, 130lb db rows, 400 lb shrugs, etc), though my legs are quickly catching up.

    Gain Size With Deadlifts?????

Holy hell-- I do every exercise you listed at least once a week, sometimes more. Not only do I not own a weight belt, I haven't even seen one in like 8 months.

    Gain Size With Deadlifts?????

Deads used to be my fave, and still are; squats are fast catching up though.

    Gain Size With Deadlifts?????

I give squats and deads about equal priority. On weeks that I deadlift, I normally do squats Olympic high-bar style to the floor on Monday, then do SLDL's after some heavy DL's off the floor on Thursday. On weeks I squat, I do SLDL's and shrugs after squatting. It tends to keep everything strong.

    What Is Your Max Benchpress???

Before my right pec tendon started acting up last week I had 260-70 or so in me for one. Deads are running in the low 400's right now.

    Getting Cut Without Cardio

Rose I didn't bother to read this whole thread, but is there some reason you can't/won't do cardio?

    Need To Blast My Arms

Honestly, I don't know. As a PLer and someone on the whole who isn't that concerned with muscle tissue, I can say that I've achieved growth from both methods. The extensive bodybuilding approach is tried and true, yes. But so is the explosive approach, albeit not in an orthodox setting; it has...

    Need To Blast My Arms

I'm not talking specifically about Olympic lifts. They certainly can't develop the entire body to the needs of a competitive BBer. But look at their traps. Their glutes and hams. Lower back. They aren't exactly small. My point about cheat form doesn't mean to go berserk. However, *in some...

    Need To Blast My Arms

Well, since hypertrophy is most likely caused by lack of muscle cell's ability to sustain protein anabolism against not only the natural catabolism of the muscle, but that caused by lifting weights, I'd have to say that using up the ATP supply would be a good thing, and that no, you aren't...

    Need To Blast My Arms

If I were a bodybuilder, I'd be more than happy to. Unfortunately, as a powerlifter and Olympic lifter, I doubt you'd be too impressed with my physique. Oh, I'm muscular, but my BF is probably too high for you to take me seriously with a physique pic. I've only been lifting about 3 1/2 years...
