What are some good assistant exercises for the squat?

It is almost impossible to make gains for both the squat and deadlift when both are performed during the same week.

is this good for 15 yrs old???

If your post is accurate, those lifts are excellent for a 15 yr old. Now that you have received affirmation about your accomplishments, why don't you focus on what is important for a 15 yr old: growing up.

    Deadlifts

If you are concerned about a spinal disk injury, consult a physician about it. Speaking from experience with these problems, some disk injuries require surgery while others require rest and physical therapy--I have been treated with both of these methods. With that out of the way, deadlifts are...

    WTF are farmer walks?

You can buy farmer bells, too. The purpose of the farmer's walk is two-fold: conditioning and grip.

How many muscle groups do you work per workout?

Currently, I am using a full-body program, with two different workouts, separated by 4-7 days. I perform 5-7 exercises per workout. I've also made good gains on an upper and lower split, two different workouts per split, with 5-7 sets per workout, and each workout is separated by 3-6 days.

    how does this look

You're right about either working hard or working long, but some people can handle higher volume than others. The workout you have posted would be too much volume for me but would be fine for others. You will need to experiment to determine how well you recover from different volume levels. One...

is a 1135 pnd total good for my age and weight

I know of some teens who have performed comparably; however, I would like to find out more about why this is the case. Genetics plays a role, but additional factors, such as training program protocols, may have been the catalyst for such lifts.

is a 1135 pnd total good for my age and weight

The poundages lifted by high school students are "eye-catching." These lifts exceed those of most adult non-competitive trainers. What do you--Heavyweight 1987--think is the reason for this?

Your opinions on low volume, moderate, high volume, and training in general-BB NOT PL

Bodybuilders have used numerous training protocols to acquire their desired goals. I suggest that you search this site, as well as other sites, to acquire as much data as possible before you make any decisions about what is effective and what is "s---", as you put it.

    how does this look

Many trainers, including myself, have had substantial strength and size gains from a 20-rep squat program. I have yet to meet anyone who has not made signifcant gains from this program, so long as they are applying the principles correctly.

Poll: What you rather have tax dollars spent on AIDS or Obesity/Fat reduction?

If I may, Nigeepoo, I can tell you from personal experience that there is hope. When I got married seven yr ago, I stopped training. My weight climbed to 360 lb and my bodyfat was at least one-third of my total weight. Also, I had the concommitant health problems associated with obesity. Three...

    how does this look

Why not apply your squat protocol to the rest of your training? Granted, you will use fewer reps (6-10), but by taking each set to failure, you will make some substantial gains. If you were to apply this protocol totally, you would only perform 2-3 sets per bodypart, however.

Poll: What you rather have tax dollars spent on AIDS or Obesity/Fat reduction?

This is like looking at my own library. With respect to constructing a poll, I have substantial experience with data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative, and most polls/surveys that I have reviewed are skewed to a certain extent. Also, OD makes a good point, in that this issue has...

    What constitutes overtraining?

The previous post about overtraining pretty much says it. Other signs, though, are loss of appetite, an apathy toward training, and a loss in strength.

Poll: What you rather have tax dollars spent on AIDS or Obesity/Fat reduction?

AIDS is an epidemic, as stated by RK23; however, OD makes the point that AIDS is a result of high-risk behavior, for the most part. So again, we are faced with the issue of whether to fund research for conditions that are caused primarily by behavioral choices. Unfortunately, in our society...

Poll: What you rather have tax dollars spent on AIDS or Obesity/Fat reduction?

Since the predominant cause for each condition comes from inappropriate behavior and choices, isn't society implicitly condoning irresponsible behavior by using tax revenue to fund research in these areas? In addition, aren't those individuals who are making appropriate and responsible choices...
