2hrs before training i eat a lot, but than nothing. 30min before the training i eat one chocolate puding(to lift the blood sugars), you could also try glucose, and it works out great for me!
Get down to 50g of carbs, if you are hungry eat more protein. You also need some unsaturated fat like olive oil or fish oil.
Maybe try some fat burners if you are in a hurry with a lots of cardio and weightlifting.
I feel you, you don't want to waste any hard work over a bit of candy. Noone needs that processed food. Just stick to your plan, try to present some healthy/protein food to your gf like salmon with a salad or something.
In the beginning you will see great improvements but over time your body will get used to the weight and you will lose a bit of mass.
You need to put your muscles to stress over and over again.
