Pylon--yea, I really like it. Last week I just ate "normally" cuz I was still a little wonky from being sick, but this week is cycling again. Pre/Post WO Meals

Hi...just want to make sure I'm doing this right with my pre and post workout meals. My WO is usually at about 5pm. Meal times fall at 3:30 for pre-WO and usually about 6pm for post-WO (depends if its cardio + weights or just weights). This is what I currently have: 3:30 pm: 2 scoops whey...

02/15/2005--been out with the flu all weekend, no workouts, very little food....yuck! Maybe I can convince myself that pizza gives me the flu so I don't crave it anymore. Pylon--yea, the pizza made me feel horrible! After a meal like that, I just want to eat salad and tuna for the next...

    Just got diagnosed with...

Ok, so apparently I'm not the only who didn't know the mechanism by which digestive enzymes were released because there appears to be some controversy between mechanical and chemical. I did find one study that demonstrated a protease mediated feedback mechanism in humans but it only inhibited...

    Just got diagnosed with...

actually, now that I think about it, hormones react with specific receptor sites so "unnatural" hormone use can block those sites and inhibit "natural" release. Digestive enzymes are by the digestive mechanism...I don't think its in response to receptor sites....I'm going to stop talking now...

reasonable logic....my thought would be that you're probably taking in large (I'm just making an assumption here ;) ) amounts of protein that your body can't reasonably keep up with for a long period of time. every regulatory system in our body that I can think of has a tap-out point where it...

    Just got diagnosed with...

Can actually be due to incomplete protein digestion, maybe consider taking enzyme supplement with protease. Also, tanning beds/sunlight is said to help. Lots of homeopathic remedies for this, talk to a naturopath or chiro with nutrition experience if you're interested. :)

Long term effects of heavy lifting?

Reignman...Preventing arthritis/DJD, the biggest long term concern with heavy lifting, is all about form, intelligence and balanced training of muscle groups (both movers and stabilizers). Continue getting regular chiro adjustments. I do disagree with your chiropractor and would suggest you...

    Tuna/Salmon - Daily?

I read a study about that a couple days ago and it concluded no statistical correlation between mercury levels in fish and the hair strand test (I can probably find it again if I have to but it was on a pubmed search of tuna and mercury)--so, nope not worried. I eat 2 or 3 cans of tuna a day...
