I hope someone can help as im tryin to put together a training programme for powerlifting. I was thinking of incorporating the Westide training methods of a speed day and maximum effort day.

That is very true P funk You need alot of weight to get down that low in a suit. If i compete raw i will be at a substantial disadvantage as I dont know of anyone from what ive seen compete raw. If i can compete raw with a very good weight ie better than those who compete with suits i will do it...
Yes thats what ive done now. Ive knocked the weight right down and squat as low as i can which is past parrallel and accelerate up for 3 reps. Il add 5kg every week and in about 3 months il be at about 160kg raw squat for 3 reps. Then i can learn how to use a suit and from what i see most...

I agree with Cowpimp that is too much strain on your CNS........you will probably find that if you hold back a bit and train less often in the long run your gains will be much better and more consistent.
