    why lift when cutting?

    if you are eating less calories, seems to me that working out (breaking down muscles) can do more harm than good, as the damage cant be repaired without enough calories. it also seems like a waste of the little energy that you are consuming.

    goal setting weight wise

    10 lb a month is reasonable if you have a plan and stick to it. any more, and you will probably be losing a significant amount of muscle. clearly, i wouldnt keep this up for 12 months.

    do pushups with your feet on a chair, get the reps down a bit and howabout some pullups or equivalent and miltary press. these are staple compound exercises another thing. 100 reps of anything, is worthless. simply a poor mans cardio workout.

    thats completely irrelevant. it is very hard, perhaps impossible to maintain every bit of muscle, when cutting, and certainly , you will not GAIN any more, as somebody previously suggested. the point is that you will lose a significant amount of muscle when you have a significant calorie...

    its not percentage of energy from fat that we are worried about, it is total amount of fat. overnight, you are burning a very high percentage of fat. a very high percentage of a very low number. more intense cardio, although burning a lower percentage of fat, still generally burns a much greater...
