    Stretching and Warming Up

    I am 39 and over the last year I have had to increase my stretching/warm up time from about 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Lower back and hip stiffness dictate how long I stretch. Whenever they loosen up, I start training. Just curious how long everyone else's warm up time is.

    Squatting ROM

    Once I started squatting with a wide stance, my knees have not bothered me. As far as depth, I only go to parallel. I squat in a rack and set the bars to just below parallel. Just my two cents on what works for me.

    Military Press and more Military Press. Once I stopped going to failure I began to see results. I usually leave one or 2 in the tank for each set.

    Deadlifting Problem

    It is better to err on the side of caution. My opinion is to stop deadlifting for a month or so. When you resume deadlifts, hopefully whatever is causing the pain has healed. Good luck.

    Only hypothyroidism I only have hypothyroidism and I take levoxyl. As far as the blah feeling you describe, I felt the same way and made the personal decision to try anti-depressants. This was a hard decision for me, but it helped. Something else that helps me is a high dose of fish oil...

    Chins ups opinion

    Just do them. Use different grips and hand widths. Do them weighted and not weighted for high reps and low reps. Do a few between sets for giggles or devote a full workout to them or do both. Just do them.

    For limited budget EFA's and Taurine. Taurine w/ a cup of coffee Pre WO is awesome. If money is tight, this is cheap and very effective.
