My right arm is more vascular and stronger than my left arm. Sometimes I find it hard for my left arm to complete the same amount of reps as my right. How do you compensate for this? Whats the best way for my left arm to catch up? Thanks.

i have the same problem with my chest, i can do 34 pushups with my left arm but only 30 with my right and i'm right handed, but i think everybody has one side stronger than the other, if its really that noticeable just train ur left twice as hard till it catches up, but dont go overboard try keep both ur arms the same size

my right arm is WAAAAY stronger than my left... but being a tennis player, I don't see how it could be any other way... it's adaptation... my right arm over the course of 8 years of tennis has grown bigger, stronger, with more endurance then my left...

I workout predominantly with dumbbells and it's tough to focus when you're right arm says 5 more reps and your left arm just plain gives out on you...

I need to use lighter weights for both arms... but my right arm responds excellently to weight training and every bit of strength improvement i get helps me out on the tennis court... I've noticed the ability to play tennis for 3+ hours without fatigue in my right arm since just over a year of weight training...

i guess I'm just screwed...

you can't compensate. only lift as much as your left arm can handle. i had this problem when i first started out and it has evened out over time. i've seen the same with many people at the gym, and *most* get better.

Use barbells. Or, start with the weaker arm when when you are using dumbells and alternating. Only match the number of reps done with the weaker arm with the strong one. Everyone has one side that is a little bigger and stronger. It's just a fact of life.

You know, my left arm looks more vascular and muscular than my right, YET my right arm is stronger. Now can anyone explain this? I sure can???t ???

I had that problem, and was pretty simple to overcome. All I did was a few more reps on the weaker muscle area... If your lifting to failure, just rest for just a brief moment and then pump out a few more on the weaker arm or muscle..... Either way, it works.

try switching hands if you get where i'm cuming, err coming from
just playin i am actually stronger with my left arm some days and stronger with my right on others, and for different exercises too?
