Eagles hardly run the ball. I don't think RB is a primary position for them to fill. What 5 positions?

There is a damn good reason they don't run the ball. THEY DON'T HAVE A RUNNING BACK. So 5 positions? RB for one, OLB, DT, WR, and FB. Any other questions?

thanks for getting back to the topic of sports. and with injuries and such it makes a lot of sense to always have a viable backup QB. that shouldnt mean you go looking for your backup when you have so many holes in other places. try getting good players so your starting QB doesnt have to do everything and can stay healthy longer. i like how the eagles took that kid Bloom. ill be interested to see if he can perform in the NFL

I think there are few teams that should be commended for their picks.

First off, the Titans had the best DRAFT out of any of the AFC teams. They got not only VINCE YOUNG (who'll replace McNair) but LENDALE WHITE. Screw Lendale's hammy and screw Vince's release. What were the other teams THINKING when they let Lendale drop to the secound round? These two guys are beasts and within a year or two, they will be running circles around, or in Lendale's case, running through, opponents.

But besides the Titans, here are the other teams that are on my respect list:

Cardinals -- Leinhart (apprentice to Kurt next year), Pope (is a beast). Arizona WILL BE the most dynamic offensive team in the league once Leinhart starts at QB...they only need help with their defense

Falcons -- trade for Abraham, steal Jimmy Williams...in two years, they've gone from offensive powerhouse to defensive powerhouse. ddaaaamn.

Packers -- they used the draft to fill up their every weakness in their defense. they also traded away j. walker who was a little bitch. even though they had a good draft, i dont think they will do well next year with favre as qb. he's past his prime.

49ers - v davis.

Westbrook is an awesome RB. He's great for the Eagles. FB for what? The one passing play we have for a FB. I agree with you on some of them. We'll see how well this guy we picked up performs. Hopefully he doesnt' turn out to be another McDougle. Whats up with Walker? Again I dont think we should get a RB in the draft next year. RB's are a dime a dozen. I hate when teams waste all their money on a RB and he goes and gets injured. That would suck for the Eagles. We'll see what happens this season.

Westbrook is a talented football player, but he is not a RB that can pound it out when you need him to. He has a tendancy of making his moves before he hits the hole. He is great for catching passes out of the backfield but to think he is a feature back is naive. We need a RB that can carry the ball 20-30 times a game when needed, and we need a FB to block for that back. I never said anything about drafting a RB, just that there are many positions that need to be looked before QB's. Donovan is working his ass off to get back into shape, and to command the respect of the players that fell off his bandwagon during the whole T.O. issue. The last thing they need is a QB controversy...

if he has another down year there will be a controversy

Another injury year that is.... And for the record the injury he suffered in 2005 was from a freak, illegal hit. Donovan is far from injury prone, so my bets are on him having a great year.

injury or no, without TO he has never been a 60% completion guy and i dont think anything is going to change now. im betting his stats are going to be lower than they were 2 seasons ago, and lots of people are going to be none too happy about it

I thought Green Bay had a good draft. You gotta like AJ Hawk's ability. Maybe 8-8 isn't too far-fetched.
Best thing said in this thread. Only time will tell, but I think AJ WILL be the real deal. He is smart, fast, strong, and has great natural ability.

...plus, he looks like Cameron Diaz.

Didn't the Packers also draft another outside linebacker to play opposite AJ?
