so im 3 months away from going travelling, i want to be in as good conditioning as possible, im coming off a samll op so no more weight training for 2 more weeks.
then i was thinking of maybe a 6 week clean bulk, followed by the ud 2.0 for the last 6 weeks to hopefully take me down to single digits.
this will be my first bulk, as im a former fatty, so i want to try keep body fat gains to a minimum.
will i just increase cals by 250 above maintenence or has anyone had any success on a ud 2.0 bulk??

Well if you are making that much gap you have to restrict your diet ...

You can also have some exercises and joking where ever you are going , it will help you to maintain your body ..

im going to keep up my running while im away and use my trx straps too, so that should keep me in good enough shape in between the drinking! :-p but just want to get into the best possible condition i can before i go, i think im looking a little skinny after my ud cut, so im going to bulk and then prob cut for the month before i go as the motivation will be pretty high!

This bodybuilding. If you think you're "looking skinny," you need to add mass, and a lot of it. If you're going to let one vacation get in the way of your long term progress, I don't see you making a whole lot of gains in the future. Just continue with your bulk. You should not be eating so horribly, or training so pansy that you will actually gain an appreciable amount of fat in only 3 months.

Eating horribly or training poorly aren't prerequisites for putting on fat. Eating well in excess of your maintenance calories is, however. You could be eating 5000 calories of great foods, but if it's too far in excess of your maintenance, your body is going to convert it to fat.

I would agree that you should probably not go on a cut right now. If you've just had an operation (however minor), you probably want to allow your body to recover. Cutting won't help that.
