400mg every 2 weeks?

Ok here goes. I have been on TRT for about a year now. I am 38yrs, 175lbs. When I first started TRT doctor dosed it at one shot Test C a month at 200mg for about 6 months. Did blood test and of course did not improve. Then they changed it to twice a month at 200mg each shot for almost 6 months. Did blood work the other day and of course levels have not improve. Mood and sex drive has not improved. Now the dose is Test C 400mg twice a month. I will do this dose for three months and then do blood work. Do any of you guys have any comments on this dose, 400mg every 2 weeks. I know it would prob. serve me better if I broke it up into 200mg a week but my wife gives me the shots and prob. wont go against doctors orders unless I have some ideas or more knowledge to convince her. Or if you guys have any good reasons as to why I should stick to the 400mg every 2 weeks. I worry about getting tits at this dosage. At this dose what are some Pros and Cons. For now it will only be for 3 months. Then I will get test and doc will adjust from there.

Stick to what the doctor ordered you to do. That's really the key to anything following professional advice. They get paid good money to tell you what to do. Don't go against them. I think you should consider a decent workout and training program also. This will increase test levels slightly.

Every 2 weeks is horrible, your doctor doesnt understand drug halflives. You should be injecting every week since the half life of test c is around 7 days. I inject twice a week to keep my blood levels stable. Trust me on this, you will feel way better.

Print out a few different recent medical studies on trt. Take them to your Dr. and let him read them. This is what I did for my Dr. to better understand how trt works. I'm gonna assume you're going through your family doc for the test? In most cases, they know next to nothing about hormones and how they work. Try this and see if it helps. If your doc refuses to read them or do his own research, then ask to be referred to an endocrinologist.

Endo's can be even more retarded, from my experience anyways. My endo wants to start me off on 200mg/every2weeks and I called him out on it so he agreed to 100mg/week with no AI or HCG. Fuc*ing 10 years of schooling doesn't mean shit.

I've never been to an Endo myself. But I figured it might be worth a shot if his pcp doesn't want to help. Cuz honestly, 400mgs every 2 weeks is one of the craziest trt schedules I've ever heard of.
But if Endo's are worse than pcp's what else could he do? Cuz it sounds to me like his wife would never go for him doing his own trt!

I'd say his best bet is going to a HRT clinic or finding a doctor who deals with this kind of stuff. I'm stuck with my socialist healthcare and don't have the option of going to a private clinic

Hes got the script he doesnt need to do anything other than just changing his pinning. On 200mgs a week his labs will come back much higher now so the doctor might back down his dose.

He should just split it up into twice weekly shots and a couple weeks before he has to do labs drop his dosage so the numbers don't come in to high. A downside would be he won't get prescribed the right amount of AI's for his real dosage but I could live with that.

He wont get an ai prescribed. His doc doesnt even know how to dose testosterone.

It's not the dose, 800mg every 4 weeks is damn generous from what I read on here and I only cruise on 200mg/wk anyways. If you do 200mg/wk you will be fine for sure. When I cruise its always just 1 shot a week or you will get so much scar tissue you have issues just pinning your TRT. Now if he gave you 400mg of test undeconate every 2 weeks I could totally see that, I've seen 500mg/month of that given with good results (multiple studies show this works well actually). It's just a matter of the ester half life that his been mentioned many times. I would put in 200 each week, get labs that are high and say now you see why this works! Then if he wants to back it down to 150mg/wk and you still feel good so be it, that's not a bad dose and should have you near the top of the high range.

Only lab work will tell. I do on only 150mgs but you could be fine. Its very subjective.

You are worried about getting tits at that dose! LOL I've been injecting 500mg every two weeks for the past 5 years and sometimes 5x as much. Those that get gyno are predisposed to get gyno. So it's best that you get your estradiol levels checked, your FSH and LH, insulin, and cortisol levels also.

Agree on dose frequency. My endo has me on 100mg cyp IM every 10 days - refuses AI. I was better on 30mg Axiron a day. Good luck!

150-200 is my sweet spot (once per week), as well as most TRT guys on here. AI necessity depends on the individual. At 200mgs weekly, I still feel awesome and don't use an AI. However, If I go above that, I get your typical itchy / sore nips and my lumps puff up a bit. By as mentioned earlier, some are more sensitive than others.
