Hey Guys,
I have worked out before, and i guess i sort of know my way around the gym, and i know what excersizes will help which body parts, although performing them 100% correctly I am sure are not my strong points. I was on a few different workout plans. I was on some Weider guys charts for a while. It is pretty much a full body workout, and i think it is for puttting on mass. It started out the first month by doing 1 set of 6 reps or each excersize, almost pretty well maxing out. Like you would start out doing bench press wide grip, going to seated dumbell curls, whatever, i can't remember it exactly and am not going to list my workouts. I did it three times a week. mondays, wednesdays, and fridays. The next month went to doing 2 sets of 6 reps, and then the third month went to doing 1 set of 5 reps heavy, then 1 set of 8 reps with a substantially lighter weight I don't even really know what my goal is, i want to shed the extra pounds, but that should come naturally through working out i thought as well as my cardio stuff, i play sports like hockey, soccer, and football so all weight loss wouldn't just be from working out. I want to look good and be solid. I want a six pack and stuff obviously, it's not like i am working to be a HUGE guy or anything, but i want to definately add some mass. I guess there is also the good old 4 sets of 8 reps of everything too I was also on a routine where i was doing like pec's, tri's and back one day, and then like forearms, bi's, and stomach the next, and i think i had 3 days of things i did al together. I did workout 1 mondays, 2 tuesdays, 3 wednesdays, 1 thursdays, 2 fridays, and 3 saturdays sorta deal, and i rested on sundays. I don't even know, I am not sure what i should be doing? I don't need an in depth workout posted from anyone, just what in general should i be doing? I am in university and hold a job so i guess i want to work out tuesday and thursdays from sometime between 1:00 and 4:00 and probably sundays as well. But I just don't know, is that ok? What is right? I guess i just want to know the basics of what i should be doing. I hope someone can help me. Thanks guys.
Danny
