That newly registered users or people new to the game know they can turn to for quality and knowledgeable information. There are a lot of very smart and experienced members on this board that have great information to share, so lets make them stick out so that they can be identified by those looking to ask questions.

First people that stick out to me are CT, Heavyiron, and Built.

Isn't "Moderator" enough of a distinction?

What about the members of the community such as heavy who have 10x the experience of many mods, but aren't one themselves? I think there should be some distinction, because there are many very knowledgeable regular members.

honestly, and I'm not trying to be a dick, but I think this is overkill. For the newbies that come here and do their research and ask intelligent questions I feel this board does a good job of giving solid advice as is. I like heavy a lot and I think he does a great job of giving advice here on the forum. I don't think any kind of distinction is needed to set his advice apart as the advice itself does that.

If you want to help your case show us a thread where such a distinction would have helped someone in the past? there are plenty of newbie question threads to choose from

There are multiple threads where incorrect advice is given to those asking questions.

sure, but the knowledgeable posters are pretty easy to pick out IMO. I'm still not seeing how Giving heavyiron a title does anything to change the right advice getting through. and honestly much of it can be right and wrong and much is still opinion based. is there to be another distinction for opinion based?

Well then point mistakes out and be prepared to back it up with facts.
That's what forums are about.....

You will not be allowed to use logic while discussing a topic here! :paddle:You know better than that Mino!:pissed:
I am glad you are back to posting here more regularly though :D

that is what the rep point thing is supposed to be for, but it gets abused.
the problem is how do we determine who is worthy of a certain status?

I know that I have given advice, and been corrected by someone else. Part of the learning process is to know that nobody knows everything, and that most all of us can learn from one another from time to time. I've been training for three decades, but there are a lot of guys who have more knowledge that I do, especially related to bodybuilding issues and diet, as most all of my experience is in powerlifting. I guess what I'm saying is one of my favorite things about this site is hearing multiple opinions from multiple voices of experience. Usually more than one way to look at this stuff. The other thing is, it doesn't take that long to figure out who brings a lot of knowledge and experience to the table. Seems to me we have a lot of pretty smart people on this site.

Were you aware that heavy was a moderator? I believe he stepped down voluntarily to spend more time on other more pressing issues than answering questions on teh Interwebz.

He thankfully continues to post here and as you recognize or note he does have a mountain of information.

I would hope that anyone with questions about AAS, etc. would seek out that information in a logical manner, such as posting/creating a thread in the Anabolic Zone and then verifying the answers offered.

Too many people want to be spoon fed. That or they're not willing to do some of their own research. The Elite membership on this site is a useful (and reasonably priced) option allowing users to take advantage of pages and pages of quality bodybuilding information covering the entire spectrum of applicable texts.

This is true the elite membership gave me the info to use beta-al inter-anally and do it safe while cutting it with caffeine:coffee:

I thought that the welder guy was the light and the way, I'm sure you'll make a fine replacement though.

If Moderator is a distinction.... then people are screwed with the likes of me :p

Nobody listens to you unless you're talking about the Packers.

True Prince. The only time I've ever been negged was in "anything goes". How do you neg someone in "anything goes"? I think the rep system is lame.
