Im looking for a workout routine for a woman that is mostly machine only and cardio, because she is too scared and nervous to go around all the guys at the gym and there usually by the free weights, the gym has tons and tons of machines

Umm...may I ask why you'd even consider machines?

The benefits you get from "lifting like a guy" aside from the respect you'd garner from being around guys and training, is insurmountable. There's no comparison to the benefits from weights to machines.
I train over 35 women, all of different walks and ages, and they lift like guys, but all look sculpted at one degree to another. That being said, they squat, they deadlift, they bench and they aren't "bulky" like guys.

The intimidation you probably feel is within yourself; my advice? Get over it. You'll thank me later, and probably within weeks. If you want to supply you with a basic weight training workout, I'd be more than happy.

Sounds like the first thing you should do is look for a therapist to treat that phobia she has.

Id say this plan is better than being sedentary.

However, Id suggest squatting 1 x week on your leg day instead of iso leg machines. Go off peak hours to avoid the hoards of gawking guys if you feel more comfortable. Or invest in dumbbells and perform your squats at home.

Actually, this is not a phobia. It's a normal thought in many women. However, when guys see the girl doing deads and squats, the attitude changes to that of a supportive and respectful one.

I somewhat know how she feels. I used to get a bit nervous when i first started training because i thought i would get in guys way and it was a bit intimidating. After a certain point i just said, who gives a damn! She needs to not worry about them and focus on herself and her workout. Do you go to the gym with her? It helped me a lot having my boyfriend come with me. Now, i get so focused on my workout and am "in the zone" that i dont notice anyone. I personally try to do as much free weights as possible but of course use machines for some things. Also, like someone else said..having some dumbbells at home would be a good idea!
