if it's true that your bodyfat% is 8.5, then your abs should be defined fairly well.

how often do you train your abs?

also

also, i can see they are beginning to be defined a bit..just curious as to how long a "six pack look" usually takes to achieve and if i'm trianing enough for that. thanks

You should do so many more crunches! OK Try my routne or scale i back but mx up the exercises lie this!
25 crunches
25 crunches with legs inte air
25 leg lifts( lie on a flat bench press bench and hold on to it and try to bring your legs up so you can lift your ass off the bench! That is the beston!
25 leg lifts with your head up sothe abs are alwaws contracted.
I strive for 25 on this last set but sometings i just cnt o try try again! Hope i helped!

How are you getting your BF readings??
Is it from one of those electrical crap thingys??
If so, its probably way off, i had one done and it said i was 14% pfft... whata crock!! I got a caliper test done and i was 18% even at that % i can still see my abs.... Some how i dont think your 8.5% Those machines have massive variations just on how much fluid is in your system.
If you've dropped 5.5%bf and gained 5lb in one month might i say wow...
Yes, do some more ab work but only getting lean will make them really show!!

Abs are made in the kitchen. You are not going to have a six pack unless your diet is clean. :)

You are NOT doing enough crunches!!!! Since the abs are all ONE large muscle, you should do AT LEAST 6-8 sets of crunches to muscle failure.
